Do not give any money to the DNC--they have spending limits
The DNC has $15 million on hand and a $16.25 million spending limit for this presidential election. Give whatever you can to Kerry first, then 527s such as Moveon.org and America Coming Together second.

4. Could you cite that rule? I've heard lots of things that don't
make much sense to me about who to give money to. Obviously, since Kerry has opted out of the financing thingee, it makes much more sense to donate directly to his campaign. On the other hand, I'm really not interested in paying off his mortgage.

Is there any official word on that? I want any money I donate to be used specifically for the upcoming election, not to retire old debts. That is why I will not send what little money I can spare in until after the Convention. Someone should make some sort of official commitment on this topic by then.
