Kerry's wife to visit El Paso

The John Kerry campaign for president comes to El Paso this weekend. The local group, "Viva John Kerry" is spreading the word that the candidate's wife will be in town for a campaign rally. The organization first formed more than 40 years ago as "Viva John Kennedy" -- to support the president's campaign in 1960.

And through the years, their objective has been the same, to get out the vote. "It's your patriotic duty," said John Bolanos, of the Viva Kerry Campaign. "We can change the United States, the direction it's headed in. We can change the course of human events, because of our vote. We're encouraging everyone to vote. We're not culturally biased."

4. I'm sure she will be charming and sincere.
Am I right in remembering that she speaks fluent Spanish? Even if the answer is no, I watched her in action for several hours during the Iowa campaign. She was terrific and is certainly his "secret weapon". I hope she appears often. A great lady!!

5. She speaks five languages so
Spanish is probably in there... English, French, Portuguese for sure... she really blows me away... from Mozambique, of all places, not exactly mainstream... comes to the United States and marries a mega-rich Senator, a tragic plan crash and she's a widow and super rich in her own right, pursuing her environmental passion she meets a new love... who it turns out is going to be President of the United States.

That is a life's journey no one could have predicted... maybe I can be First Lady someday...
