Zogby is polling for Nader's impact

If the election for President of the United States were held 
today and the candidates were Democrat John Kerry, Republican 
George W. Bush, and Independent Ralph Nader, for whom would

2. Too early to worry over that.

The more you fuss and fume, the more people pay attention to it. Ultimately, you might actually bring more folks to vote for NAder by bring him up all the time.

Wait until October. See if he is still in the race, see how the polls are looking, see who is actually voting for him. (Right-leaning fiscal conservatives who go for him aren't a loss to us but to Bu$h).

4. Zogby's polls are at the top end of the accuracy curve.

Last I checked. And what's wrong with ranting about Nader...on DU? It's not like this website gets projected onto the sides of buildings or anything. I doubt swing voters will be influenced by DU discussion.

he's highly accurate. He has well worded questions and good representative samples.

5. I dont think this measures his impact though. Some of the Nader voters

may have stayed home if he wasn't running.

To poll for his impact they'd have to focus on Nader alone and say if he weren't running who would you support??? etc...

8. Come on people

we got 8 months to go. These polls mean nothing to predict Nader's impact.

First lets see if:
a) Nader gets on 51 ballots
b) Nader still has support in the fall, when real people are
seriously thinking about this (mostly only junkies like us care
about these polls now)

After those questions are answered, we can begin to judge Nader's impact.

...Nader will get on "51 ballots." I think he'll be lucky to just get on the ballot in 50 states, much less 51.;)

although none of the above, like D.C. have electoral votes.
