I realize Oklahoma borders Arkansas but I don't see why that would have too much impact.

I would think those two states would vote about the same. So, my guess is that one of those polls is wrong.

7. And my BIL and all of his buddies are voting for Obama in the primary.
They are afraid of Hillary because they think if she wins she will seek revenge on Republicans. So, they are just doing it to fuck with our primary.

None of them would ever vote for a Dem in the general, however. They think they are quite clever.

10. Which is really astounding in its ignorance
because "it takes a Clinton to clean up after a Bush". She'd clean up after W just like Bill cleaned up BCCI, Iran-Contra, the looting of the S&Ls, Gulf I...

Hillary would be the best thing that could happen to Bush & Co.

9. Kansas has been a red state for forever.
Oklahoma was a blue state for years - until Johnson signed that little piece of legislation in 1964 and Oklahoma went red. It is now turning back blue.

12. Aside from the already mentioned reasons, isn't OK considered to be more "southern" too?

Arkansas bordering Oklahoma does matter. Ask Wesley Clark.
