What happens if we start getting job growth?
A few months of decent job growth of at least 200,000 + new jobs a month.

How do we attack Bush when he says his bullshit policies are working?

2. More people will be working ???
If his policies worked, we would agree with him that they work. But they don't. So far, he has done very little that has not done harm to our country...

3. You have to think again...
And remind yourself why you are pissed at him, why you want a democrat in the white house instead. If you can't find a reason, then vote for him. Personally he would have to do about a million things differently for me to support him. He would have to turn into the biggest liberal the white house has ever seen in order to make up for these past three years.

4. 100,000 in Jan.
21,000 last month, I expect to see negative numbers for this month. Bush is toast.

5. This is easy to answer
IF

Really think it IS going to happen?
I'll worry about it then. I don't think it will, but I've been wrong before.

6. We won't
I can't find it right now, but the projected unemployment rate is exactly what it is right now for a very long time to come. Years and years. And the employment figures were reduced for December and January already. There's no jobs coming, it's just like it was in the 80's.

7. It's too late.
He'll never be able to change his overall job loss record at this point. Last I've heard, plants are still closing all over the place. That will probably offset any job gains made. He'll never get ahead by November.

9. Exactly!
He's so far behind at this point, there would need to be an EXPLOSION of jobs until the election, & that won't happen.

10. Point To The Massive Deficits He's Run Up Stimulating The Economy...
and the unfairness of his policies which favor the rich...also point to the many underemployed and the no-growth in wages figures...The economy isn't going to improve very much by November...

11. The window is closing quickly for them.
I'm not saying it can't happen, but there is a window when it has to happen or it won't matter. I really think that the window closes at the end of May.

The lack of jobs has surprised even me. I mean we were hearing last AUGUST that jobs are a lagging indicator, but I don't think anyone thought that six months later there still wouldn't be anything to talk about.

If you go by the target that 150k jobs need to be created monthly to keep up with new workers entering the force, then at the beginning of this year, 5.4 million jobs would have had to have been created. Instead, we're out nearly 3 million jobs.

That's a net difference of 8.4 million jobs. I love statistics. They are so malleable.

12. Donate to the Democrats with that new job!
Getting rid of jobs could be the republicans way of getting rid of donations to Democrats. Has anyone else thought about that?

Because Hell will freeze over before Junior will bring significant job growth.

14. Remind whomever asks that this is the bush* RECOVERY that
we've been experiencing for the last 2-1/2 years!

The "recession" started in Mar 2001 and ended in Nov 2001 according to everyone NOT associated with bush*. That means from Nov 2001 to today and presumably to Nov 2004 has been the bush* recovery. With 8 months to go there needs to be a PLUS 300,000 job growth per month TO BREAK EVEN! So let's say Mar to Nov comes in at 200,000 per month or 1.6 million jobs, that's still a second-only-to-Hoover NET 800,000 JOB LOSS!!

The answer is we cannot afford anymore bush* recovery!

SIDEBAR:
bush*co says recession started in 2000 and they inherited it. The answer is fine, then I'll take a Clinton "recession" over a bush* "recovery" EVERY TIME!!

bush* also touted his tax cuts as a JOBS PROGRAM, only the jobs are overseas!

15. My idea.
Attack him because all of the job growth is at McDonalds and Wal Mart. Talk about how the jobs we are getting suck big time and don't reflect the qualifications of the people getting those jobs.

17. It literally cannot happen. Business is not going to cooperate and
the numbers flim-flam being run by the government won't hold up either. The slightest whiff of inflation will cause an utter panic in this country, as wages across the board are lower and some items, like gasoline, just cannot be substituted for.
