Why can't we get along?
Alright, I know as someone who has only been posting here for two or three days, a lot of you feel like you have no reason to listen to me. However, I think this forum would function much better if we stopped with the sensationalistic topics that are either totally OMG FUCK HILLARY, or OMG FUCK OBAMA.

When supporters of Obama see fellow supporters making totally sensationalistic threads that don't even make a great argument, or posts that are pure negativity without reason, they should speak out against them. Same with Hillary supporters.

The truth is, there is a difference between Obama and Clinton, but it's not that big of a difference.

1. They both (as has every politician) been involved in shady business. It's part of politics, its part of the game. The amount of shady business can be debated, the Clintons obviously have quite a bit more, but that might just be because they've been around longer.

2. There healthcare plans are nearly exactly the same and it's impossible to really say that one is more effective then the other, the debate here lies in whether you believe the government has the right to make you pay for it. If Hillary can offer a cost-effective plan, I don't see what the big problem would be here, but I can see people in the Libertarian school of thought claiming otherwise.

I'm not saying arguments should cease, I just want to encourage a better discourse. Both Hillary and Obama (if they are as great as we make them out to be, depending on what side they are of course) would totally be offended with the way we're acting.

A lot of people have been involved in shady business.

As long as no one got murdered (and sorry, Hilary did not kill Vince Foster...) I don't see a real problem.

2. Well, I don't think it comes down to murder...
We should expect some amount of accountability from our politicians, but people are making certain things out to be a lot bigger then they are.

3. True
Keep in mind that any business deal can be turned shady by litigation. And litigation is our preoccupation in the US.

8. Our candidates DO get along...

9. because Hillary or one of her shills
stepped on my crayons! Then Bill hit me in the stomach when I told the teacher.

Plus, some of us really do feel strongly that one candidate or the other is going to be bad for our party, for progressives, and for our country.

Maybe you touched on part of it too. If there is not a huge difference, then small differences need to be magnified. Plus, hyperbole seems to be the chief coin in the discussion board world. It's always the best of times or the worst of times.
