For a few years, I lived not far from the Idaho boarder in Montana - and if your looking for a state about as red as they come - look to Idaho.
What happened this weekend when Obama showed up in Boise is unprecedented in that part of the country.
More than 14,000 very enthusiastic people showed up!
In Idaho!
For a Democrat!
“I’ve been around a long time, and I’ve seen a lot of political candidates come and go,” former Governor Cecil D. Andrus said in introducing Obama. “I have not seen since John F. Kennedy in 1960, a candidate that has the capacity to unite and inspire the people of America like Barack Obama.” http://www.ktvb.com/news/localnews/stories/ktvbn-feb0208-taco_bell.81b065ff.htmlSome folks have complained that because Obama attracts indies and even rethugs, he is not 100% pure Dem. On the contrary, our party has always been one of inclusiveness - it's the rethugs that demand their foot soldiers march in lock step.
Obama not only has appeal which reaches across party lines, he has an appeal which reaches across international lines.
He has a tangible ability to inspire and bring people together in a way we have not seen on our political landscape for decades. Believe me, if over 14,000 people can show up for Obama in Idaho - we will see many millions show up for him tomorrow! And like the pundits were in Idaho, look to be surprised in a very good way!
GoBama!!! :applause:
