On June 24, 2007 Mittens told the Boston Globe that "I longed in many ways to actually be in Vietnam and be representing our country there, and in some way it was frustrating not to feel like I was there as a part of the troops that were fighting in Vietnam." Se there! Mitt was a WARRIOR. He wanted nothing more than to pick up a weapon, clench a K-Bar between his teeth, and storm into battle.
Or ... maybe not.
You see, on May 5, 1994, the well-coiffed avenger told the Boston Herald "I was not planning on signing up for the military. It was not my desire to go off and serve in Vietnam."
If I didn't know better, I would say that Mitt Romney is a cowardly, lying sack of shit, who will say absolutely ANYTHING if he thinks it will earn him a few votes.
(And just imagine how brutally any Democratic candidate would be pilloried if they had made two such wildly conflicting claims.)
