What Effect Will The GOP Race Being Settled Have on the Remaining Open Democratic Primaries?
Will a larger number of Republicans cross over and try to influence our primaries?

2. Romney is out. Paul and Huck are sideshows.
McCain is the presumptive GOP nominee.

3. He doesn't have "the magic number" yet.. And even if he did, that debacle is far from settled.

5. Your deluding yourself if you think its not settled.
Huck might stake it out for a few more weeks, but especially with the prevalence of winner take all primaries for the GOP, McCain has the nomination all wrapped up.

8. You just made my point - Huck might stake it out for a few more weeks. Therefore it is
not yet settled. All of the right wingnuts will be going crazy until that magic number is reached - they will hold out hope that Ronald Reagan's corpse can rise up and become the nominee.

9. They have no more establishment candidates.
The GOP establishment probably hates Huckabee more than they hate McCain.

McCain will be the GOP nominee for President.

Now we have to start dealing with it.

4. Very good point!
Will they vote for the candidate they think it easiest to beat in the general election, or will they vote for the candidate they're willing to live with if McCain loses?

Tough call.

7. It definitely opens up a new dimension for the remaining primaries.
If anything else.
