Another poll says Obama is more electable.
http://www.pollingreport.com/wh08gen.htm

Hillary ties with McCain, Obama beats him by seven; at this point electability is all that matters.

2. McCain is running on a 'war forever' platform
A dried up puddle of beer barf is more 'electable.'

5. "at this point electability is all that matters"
Until the first poll shows Hillary to be more electable -- in which case, we will be assured by Team Obama that polls are BS.

6. goodness, I am amazed at how in one breath you obama folks
kept saying how the polls were wrong concerning obama trailing clinton.....now seems as though reason has been thrown out the window when you see a poll 9 months from election day showing obama ahead of McCain......

with this madness bill clinton should have dropped out of the presidential race in 92 since polling showed him behind both bush and perot.....and how did that election turn out?

and in late december 95 and early January 96 a few polls showing Bill losing to Dole...Now how did that turn out?

and in 2000 gore was behind bush then went ahead after the convention but could not seal the deal and dems lost...

and in 2004 kerry lost way before the convention....dems lose again....

now in 08 we have an opportunity to win but some wanna go with the pony....you want to make it 3 in a row then choose the one trick pony....

20. it's a faith thing...
fuck the polls - ultimately it seems many of us *unequivocally* believe that Obama is the most electable for many reasons. But BenDavid, you have heard all the arguments already - and your mind has not changed.

Same here.

And with all due respect to Hillary fans, they feel the same way.

Lets just vote and see where the chips fall.

I just hope by the time we get this figured out, we can collectively reorganize and kick McCain's war mongering ass. It may not be until after the convention the way things are heading at the moment.

7. Sometimes I wonder----HRC won both Coasts and all
the large statess plus some Southern States. In past elections
the candidate winning this group would have been called the
Winner and essentially the candidate.

If HRC is so unelectible someone has to esplain this. How can
she win the states she won. Even Tweety said Hilary did what
she had to do.

Here is what we have to consider. Idaho has about 18k,000 Democrats
in the whole state. To win there reqired very few votes. Idaho
is not going to turn Democratic this coming election.

Just getting Delegates is just getting Delegates. We have to
be able to show we can win against MCCain.

We are going through some painful times but someone has to
keep the eyes on the prize.

9. Polls have been just so accurate. And they know state-by-state breakdown? ...and it's "hypothetical"
Posting this poll that is the exact same one (oe same numbers) as in the Time article that was posted at least 4 times yesterday is just stupid.

...and the thing is, you know it. You're just trying to provoke people as per your MO.

11. The Hillary people don't get it
The republicans hate her...they don't just dislike her they "hate" her. I mean it. I live in the mountains of WA and a pretty conservative area although we are getting people retiring from Seattle so its a bit more dem now, thank god...but the conservatives around here who don't say anything bad about Obama have told me all kinds of weird stuff about Hillary. My boss told me they kill people and i said no way and googled to see what he was talking about and found the old stuff. I know its not true but if this is what we have to look forward to we will lose again.

Most say if its mccain they won't even vote but if hillary is in it they will vote to make SURE she is not in it.

That will lose us the congress and the whole supreme court and do we want a court full of all right wingers?

Hillary people need to forget the primary fight and look at the good of the nation. She can't win against McCain. The polls have been saying this since the beginning. Maybe the others but not McCain. He gets too many independents always has. And if you don't think they are holding back tons of shit about her past you are wrong...they are waiting with glee to let it all out. There are so many old scandals they could do one each news cycle all summer long.

Think about that while you might win the primary you will cost us the race. I think that is the number one reason some big names have signed on with Obama.

12. The calls in to progressive radio from those identifying themselves as independents/
former republicans all point to Obama (for what's it's worth)

LoZoccolo-I thought your supported Hillary. Did you change or am I wrong? If you did change-I'm interested as to why (if you care to share)

Take your blinders off people. Selecting HRC as the Dem nominee will guarantee a GOP win this fall.
