Major Concern Re: Bush ads...
OK...I live in Michigan which Bush has decided is a battleground state. At first I laughed at the Bush ads because they are so lame and sickening that I just shake my head...

When they first started, any Bush ad was followed in the next commercial break by a MoveOn ad that did a much better job countering his nonsense with actual facts...

And then there was today...

Through NBC's the Today show and Live with Regis and Kelly, about three hours of air time, there must have been about 20 Bush spots run...what has changed is that there was not a single response of any form...these ads ran unopposed...only one message is getting out!

We can not afford to surrender the field to Bush in this manner...all the good work we generated through our great Dem Primary will disappear....

What's going on with the Kerry campaign? How soon before we see ads challenging this nonsense? What about the DNC? What 527 groups are out there? The amount of interaction with this campaign is not inspiring...if they need cash, they should set a goal and let us meet it...How much for an ad buy for the rest of March? Put up a hammer and let us send in the cash for Christ's sake!!!!

Unless we do something about this now...we are going to lose all the momentum we have built up over the last seven months....

Responding to attacks in the media isn't going to get it done!

3. No they ran...
Last week everytime a Bush ad ran, the next commercial break a MoveOn ad would run....but today there was nothing...

I'm thinking that MoveOn has run out of it's ad buy...the amount of Bush ads has increased, while the MoveOn ads have gone away...they simple do not have enough cash to offer anything but token resistance...

We need to jump on this right now or Bush will begin to define Kerry before he has a chance to get out of the starting gate....

6. and don't forget to donate some to moveon.org
as well so they can help Kerry in this fight. They seem to have better ads than most of the ad firms are producing anyway.

7. You should max out with Kerry first
The money you contribute to the Kerry campaign is hard money that can be used to directly opppose Bush and promote Kerry.

Money you donate to moveon is soft money that has more restrictions on it.

But it does all add up either way.

5. which I have done...
but I have no idea of what the campaigns needs are, how much they need...

It is a very simple strategy, announce your intentions to run ads, announce the amount you need, put up a graphic and a time limit...and watch us Dems raise twice what he needs....

It would also produce news...scare the shit out of Bush...and give us all a chance to have some fun...

But giving cash in a vacuum does none of these things and can cause people who were going to give to not...because they like to see results...

If there is reults, more will be willing to give...

I have contacted the campiagn, but that was two weeks ago...nothing yet...but I see Bush's ads....

8. I can see Regis now: "Who wants to be President Gazillionaire?"
Prime time debate.

Question 1, Mr. Kerry. What is the radioactive half life of Deuterium?

Question 1, my beloved fuhrer, er, President Bush. What is your favorite color?

. . .

Question X, President Bush final question. What Texas baseball team were you part owner of?
