1. well, I wouldn't call it the BEST....

...it was a 5-10 minute job and I'm sure other DU'ers could do better.

5. After seeing an Email

from the Kerry camp that had a letter from Wes Clark today. I believe he might be the guy also. But I wonder how he will do in a debate against Cheney?

Dick Cheney is a lying scum bag. Anybody could kick his ass. I'm pretty much staying out of the VP debate. Clark, Edwards, Richardson, Graham, even Nelson; any of them would be great.

7. He's got the neocon's number.

They are afraid of him and Kerry. Clark especially, since he's been around the block and knows how the Pentagon works. His calls for transparency in government will draw a sharp contrast to secretive Cheney. Plus he's a hell of a lot more likeable and telegenic.

but what exactly is your concern about a Clark/Cheney debate?

The only concerns that I can think of is that Clark might look like he was being mean to Cheney, thus arousing sympathy for him. That doesn't strike me as very likely (not the mean part, but the sympathy for Cheney part).

Are you worried that Clark would cause Cheney to go into cardiac arrest right on stage? That could be a real possibility and might actually arouse some sympathy for Cheney, but the prospect doesn't worry me a whole lot.

Whatever Clark would do, it would definitely be preferable to Lieberman's performance in 2000, at least in my opinion.

I would be curious to know more about your concerns. Do you think that the Lieberman strategy is preferable?
