Randi Rhodes Slams Hillary & MSNBC over Shuster!
Edited on Mon Feb-11-08 05:44 PM by IndieLeft
The best line... if you are going to say you are a mother first, then don't send your daughter out to the public arena.

And just so you know, Randi voted for Hillary!

5. yes, yes Hillary did.
Granted, she changed her mind, but initially, she did.

What do you think it means when she says that an indefinite unpaid suspension is not enough?

7. Read the whole quote
she is saying an indefinite suspension or an apology isn't enough --what needs t be addressed is the entire pattern.

stop spreading lies.

"After All"

As in, NOW she doesn't want him fired, but she did.

Nice spin.

53. Ugh
what she is clearly saying is --MSNBC's problem is not solved with the suspension and apology from one man.

The problem at MSNBC is far deeper.

But go ahead and distort --the meaning is clear enough for anyone intelligent enough to read.

14. What's an indefinite suspension?
Isn't that a nice way of saying "fire?"

Because if it, then that would say he needs to be fired.

32. No
she's saying that an indefinite suspension and an apology isn't sufficient.

The problem is much deeper than just one man and one quote --the problem is MSNBC's locker room pattern of sexism.

35. Exactly.
She's saying it's a good thing Shuster was fired, and that just disproves your point.

"the problem is MSNBC's locker room pattern of sexism."

I don't see any sexism involved in this issue. Shuster stuck his foot in his mouth by accusing the Clintons of exploitation, but it wasn't sexist. That's a rather silly exaggeration, I'm going to have to assume brought around by desperation over your candidate's failing campaign.

Randi has been having one of her best shows ever exposing the democratic party
and the hose job that it is doing to the election.

She has mentioned articles by Ari Emanuel My Brother the Superdelegate and Why I Don't Trust Him to Pick the Next President.

If I were a reporter at MSNBC, I'd be pissed at them right now. Are they going to stand up for their employees or let a campaign dictate who they keep on staff? Suspension is sufficient; he doesn't need to lose his job (if not his career) over this.

They should not have asked a reporter to fill in and be a pundit.

And really, you know Hillary is just going after Shuster because she can't get Matthews.

Honestly, I have heard, as we all have, Fox use MUCH WORSE language about Hillary. You don't see her trying to get anyone on there fired.

We have ONE channel that reports REAL news... MSNBC.

What is she thinking?

I just don't think it is right to garnish people's wages if they can't afford it.

How does hillary know everyone can afford it? Most govt programs deny people because they assume that based on their income, they don't need help.

they don't take into account a person's bills and debt.

Of all the loud mouths on MSNBC who should be spanked for their offensive Clinton comments I cannot believe Shuster was the one to get in trouble.

Hopefully he will return to the airwaves because he is usually very fair in his reporting IMO

Rahm Emanuel (from his closet) is an Obama supporter and Randi is often as poorly informed as Ed Shultz. She researches just for her version of the "truth" - ignores the facts - and takes the plunge.

I guess Randi should get her facts straight before she opens her mouth. She is misinterpreting Hillary asking for them to do something about this pattern of behavior at MSNBC. Chris Matthews already had to apologize for sexist remarks. They don't like Hillary. We get it already. Ed Schultz does not like her. Tweety does not like her. Schuster does not like her. We get it...They like Obama better and they have no balanced commentary any longer in my opinion. I don't like one of these candidates over the other really, but I would love to hear about both of them equally. It has become all Obama, all the time all over the media. They are supposed to be progressive Dems for the party, not for one candidate in particular.

36. You Obama people crack me up, if ANYTHING was said about ANY Obama
from the Ol Mrs. there to the kiddies to his parents to distant relatives, you'd all be a ruthless mob wanting someone's HEAD cut off.

That's all this cult thing is - mob mentality. Hearing straight from people in caucuses its downright embarrassing how Obama supporters behave, throwing objects at people who disagree with them, booing so loud, no one else can be heard. THAT is mob mentality.

When are all of you going to see you're all hypnotized by an empty suit who hasn't said a damn thing?

Any one of you ever see the Time Life commercial for the religious CD "Open the Eyes of My Heart"? The camera pans around the room showing people with their arms up over their heads, eyes closed, singing "Here I Am To Worship", "Come, Now Is The Time To Worship", etc. THAT is the cult of Obama. You've all been hypnotized, duped or who the hell knows what. One day, you'll realize it. Not now, but one day.

I knew it was a mistake to come back to this place. Mob mentality still rules.
