1. Clinton wants msnbc to clean up the poddy mouths. It is msnbc's court now--we shall
see if they do.

2. Matthews was forced to issue an apology a few weeks ago, half hearted
though it was, but I think what you're missing is that Shuster's comment was viewed as an attack on Chelsea. And before you refer to the Shrub twins and pics & comments that have been made about them, remember, Chelsea was campaigning for her mother, not falling on the floor in a club or so many other pics of the twins that sorta told the story without words.

3. Because they never targeted Scooter Libby the way Shuster did.

And when it all comes down to the bottom line, ANY reporter who ever even GLIMPSED into the real BFEE and its players, has gotten the bum's rush eventually and they use any mistake they may have made to make sure it happens.

8. Personally, I do want Scarborough, Matthews, and Buchanan fired.
None of them are journalists. They're paid shills for the corporations and the right-wing slime machine.

5. That really bothers me. I think that Hillary Clinton's letter was the first strike.
Now I want the Democratic Party to follow up with vigorous complaints each and every time the media behaves in this outrageous manner.

7. I totally disagree with Pat Buchanan...probably even to the point...
...of what day of the week it is. However, I do not recall ever seeing him act in less than a somewhat gentlemanly way. His ideas are crap, but I do have to say, I cannot imagine him, KO or Tweety using the word "pimp" as a verb associated with Chelsea.

JMHO

9. Matthews has been the worst offender
I am an Obama supporter, but Matthews has a deep ingrained hatred of the Clintons that has been ongoing for years. He was also one of the shallow gossipers that made up crap about Gore in 2000. Matthews is vile.

11. Thom Hartmann is addressing this in his program right now.
He says there is a difference between commentators and news people or reporters. It's his contention that Schuster is a newsman and should not have been called on to be a commentator. Of course he's gone onto a larger discussion of how we don't get news anymore because the news is only infotainment now and the commentators are being used to tell the news and vice versa.

He briefly went over the history of the deteriorationg and corruption of our media system ever since Reagan voided the fairness doctrine. He says the real whores being pimped is the news media.

16. They talk trash all the time..
I think it's just a matter of which trash offends which people. Republican lawmakers on the Senate floor are no different. I find it all offensive.

17. Absolutely ...
Schuster is young, and has made the mistake of being a bit of a truthteller (thereby making him liberal) so he was a token slap down ...
