Do you guys think they are shocked
Do you think the repugs are shocked at the way Kerry and the Dems are fighting back. We're so use to our guys being scared to challenge them. Scared to speak up. In my opinion its one of the reasons we lost so many Senate seats. I know I'm suprised. Do you think the repugs are also?

We really owe a lot to Clark and Dean. These guys really showed the party how to have a backbone.

1. Yes, and scared as well.
Including *.

Who ever heard of a President, or an Appointee I should add, going negative 8 months before an election?

Unheard of. And not at all a good plan.

In other words, keep it up moran.

:)

2. Hoorah!
Hoorah for Clark (who I would've liked to see as the nominee, but I still like Kerry) and Dean for speaking up.

I think the repugs are scared of that, plus they're scared that Kerry is actually going to tell the truth about things.

3. Personally,
I am at a loss for words. The Dem. party seems to have grown a backbone and it's GREAT! After Gore I wasn't sure if I would ever see something like that from them again.

4. Welcome to all you new DUers!
:hi:

I think they've always wanted a viscous and dirty fight because that is their mentality. They've been trying to pick a fight for years and have wanted to make it down and dirty. Too bad we've had to stoop to their level but we're going to have to do what it takes to win. I don't mean we have to be dishonest and lie to do it like they do but we have to remain on the offensive. When too many people begin to hurt--it's natural to want to fight back collectively.

I agree that all of our candidates are great assets to the fight. We've needed this for a long time. I hope we can maintain the current level.

6. Yes. I think they expected the Dems to roll over for them as Mondale,
Dukakis, Gephart, and Gore did, and they are truly shocked. Scared, too, just like any bully who has finally been challenged by a really pissed-off crowd.

7. Yes, 20+ years of Repuke attack strategy now has to be readjusted.
They're scurrying around like cockroaches caught in the light trying to figure it all out! }(

We fought back HARD, and we kicked ASS--- gained control of all 3 branches of state government for the 1st time in 40 years AND re-elected Sen. Dick Durbin in a landslide.

The voters respect someone who'll fight back...

11. Yes Bush is pissing his pants
that's why Rove started the attack ads early. We have to watch out for whatever awful surprise they have in store for us. I'd rather it be "finding" Osama than having another terrorist attack or invading Iran.

12. All the candidates deserve recognition for starting Kerry on this
offensive mode, especially the one who said, "THE PRESIDENT LIED TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE," on national television!!

13. Absolutely!
I love all the RNC "free advice" about how we won't get anywhere by being "angry" and "negative." We should roll over politely, I suppose, then we'll win, right?

17. I think it's great!
I think Kerry will kick *'s ass out past Pluto! He's got the guts, and the intelligence, and at least tells it as it is.

I must admit, when I was checking out the Dem candidates last year, I didn't give him much chance as a serious candidate, but it's been very astonishing to see him not backing down.

There is a lot resting on this election - not just for the US, but the rest of us! Kerry seems to know that, and will hopefully keep on pushing.

19. The pundits on MTP
(I know, I know) were all astounded how quickly the Dems have unified this year. They said that they've never seen anything like it before. The Bushistas expected a typical Dem fractured party and this time we're unified. :bounce:

Let's go register some Dem voters and then get them to the polls. We can do this.

20. yes, because they believe their own BS propaganda
they really believe Bush is the wonderful beloved respected savior of our nation, and that no one would dare to criticize him.

Plus, the Dems have rolled over and taken it for so long.

I think they are surprised, and this has thrown them off balance. They don't know what to do. All they have to run on is bullying.

And you know what happens when someone stands up to the bully.

This is the beginning of the end for the right-wing bullies.

22. They are used to it being "their show" like O'Reilly or Limbaugh.
"No, you don't understand. I'M the one who gets to shout YOU down and hang up on you! This isn't supposed to happen!"

When the conditions change and it's either a neutral forum, the opponent won't back down, or both (see the infamous Al Franken/O'Reilly exchange from the CSPAN book event) they are reduced to sputtering and namecalling. LOL

21. Yes, and I am loving it. I have always been determined to vote
ABB, having determined that all of the Dem candidates were way superior to the thugs in office, but I did have some reservations about Kerry. I thought that the biggest asset he brought as the nominee was that he was an experienced campaigner and would be used to strategy, dealing with dirty tricks etc., and I was reassured about this with the skilled handling of the Drudge smear.

But as he assumes the mantle of nominee, I am getting TOTALLY STOKED by his performance as a FIGHTER in this campaign. Issues aside, he is looking right now to be EXACTLY the kind of candidate we need!
