If your candidate doesn't win the nomination before or at the convention, I want you to think about a few things before you stomp off and refuse to take part in democracy anymore because your candidate didn't win...

Think about the lack of aggressive federally sponsored stem cell research, about abstinence only programs, faith tinged foreign aid, looking the other way almost all the time when ever a public official skirted close to the edge or went blatantly over the edge, the kind of cronyism that puts profits before people, weak enforcement of environmental laws, executive decisions, board appointees, judicial appointees, a politicized Justice Department, a politicized EPA, a politicized Nation Health Agency, OSHA regulations ignored, lax meat and other agricultural inspections...

These are just a smpling of all of the little things that happened while we all concentrated on 9/11, Iraq and Gitmo...

All of this was done by a republican hierarchy that respects only one thing: money...

If you want this raping of the USofA to continue, put your head in the sand if your candidate doesn't win...

And if enough democrats take that approach, then all of the stuff that goes on behind the scenes will continue, morf into something unstoppable for our democracy...

We are on the cusp...

If we choose to ignore the near future under another republican regime, then we will get what we deserve...

All we will have left is bitching on sites like DU or taking it to the streets...

For me, both candidates are far superior to anything the GOP has to offer via rhetoric or candidate...

I will support whom ever wins the nomination regardless of my personal feelings...

I will carry no animosity with me into November...

I will fight for a democratic president to be sworn in come January...

I refuse to let my country be raped and pillaged any more...

But there are some pretty strong indicators that she is very weak among independents in swing states - again - perhaps not all her fault - but real nonetheless.

Obama however is showing surprising strength among independents in a GE match up against McCain - because McCain is also "Status Quo Washington" (SQW) - and if you haven't noticed... there are few people out there who ain't that pleased with SQW.

I think the MSM has an irrational love-affair with Obama. But they have already put out a huge number of pieces of material that go directly against the "Half Muslim" smear for example.

I'm an Obama supporter who is actually quite please that the MSM loves him. I know it's not fair they hate Hillary so much - but it is a real advantage.

Same issue with Hillary - she says she's vetted - but the MSM hates her - and will blow any new quasi scandal into a tornado - so she stands a greater chance of getting torpoedoed than Obama. Again - not claiming this is fair - just that it is real.

And I feel the same way. Whoever the Democratic nominee is, will get my vote - - because I understand that we all need to stand together in order to stop the Republicans. And fractured, we will NOT beat them.
