I'm a Dean delegate!
My caucus (8th senate district) had 57 show up altogether. We could select 12 delegates and Kerry got 6, Edwards 2, and Dean 4! Clark and Kucinich had three and four voters respectively and so were non viable.

I'm looking forward to my Congressional caucus on April 3rd. Maybe, just maybe I can make it as a delegate to Boston!

11. SheilaT, is that Johnson County, KS?

13. Yes, Johnson County, Kansas.
I know I'm biased, but the Dean people had far more energy than any of the others at our caucus.

I do think it's important not to lose the different ideas that have been brought out so far. Part of the downside of the Kerry thing is a danger of losing the very real messages from the other candidates.

What I like about a caucus system is that it opens up the possibility of an ordinary person (like myself) making it as a delegate, instead of just the party faithful. I know my chances of getting selected to go to the national convention are slim at best. But I'm hoping.
