Sharpton to meet with Kerry campaign on quitting race
March 15, 2004 -- The Rev. Al Sharpton will discuss ending his failing presidential campaign with representatives of Democratic nominee John Kerry as soon as today, party insiders told The Post.
The discussion is expected to include a pledge from the Kerry camp that the controversial Sharpton "will play some role" in the Democratic campaign against President Bush - with the exact role to be determined only after Sharpton officially calls it quits.

"The Kerry people are frankly concerned about whether they can trust Sharpton," said a senior New York Democrat familiar with the talks.

"And, well, you can't blame them."

1. I think Al Sharpton would make a fantastic
Press Secretary. He's witty and quick on his feet.

2. Yeah right, how long would it be till he called the press corps racists
because he didn't like the questions they were asking.

3. Al seems to have the hots for Teresa
In a few debates, Al made statements about how much he likes her...maybe Teresa can talk him out of the race.

5. But.. but...
if you look behind the scenes of the Al Sharpton machine, you'll find A LOT of Republican shills there whose main purpose to use Al Sharpton as a puppet. Let him drown in his own debt. He's already got FEC riding on his sorry butt. This man has gone beyond disgusting in his own end.

Power to the people!

6. It's hard to trust him
especially since it came out that he was having a Republican, one of the people who orgaized the Miami-Dade recount stops, working for him.
