Cook Political Report -Industrial states are a uphill battle for Bush
"It is competitive," said Charles Cook of the nonpartisan Cook Political Report, "but it's uphill for the President. All the older industrial states are looking worse for him than last time."

Cook lists Pennsylvania's 21 electoral votes as "leaning Democratic." Some of Bush's political strategists privately agreed, citing the loss of manufacturing jobs as a continuing drag on Bush's Keystone State prospects.

2. Good
This is probably what we should be following more than the national polls.

5. I think Bush took (use of word intentional) Ohio in '00
If Kerry keeps what Gore won, and concedes Fla because of fraud, AND adds Ohio, I think he wins. Yes?

6. Yes
That's why I hope Kerry selects Bayh for the vice presidency. Bayh, a former governor and current senator, could deliver Indiana and help take neighboring Ohio as well; if Bush loses Indiana and Ohio, he's finished.
