Indeed, there is a lot of angst. A lot of emotional response. Some of it nasty. I can hardly stand it myself, being someone who does not really think either of the candidates are up to muster.
But I believe that what is happening is PEOPLE are WAKING up! They realize how important protecting our Democracy is. They want to find and believe in a better candidate. They are grasping to hold onto the one they believe is the less compromised choice.
This is a good thing. Because it is an awakening. The next step is to realize that, like many here understand, we really are not getting real choices. That the problem is more systemic.
Underneath it all, this fight is really about a fear, a fear that we will just see more of the same. That we will not get needed change. So each person is living in *hope* their candidate will really make the right choices and fight the powers who wish to corrupt and destroy the hope of the populace. Hope is a good thing, but it is also somewhat blind, and you see it in the post of many on this board, supporting the seemingly unsupportable, and yes, even trying to dash the hopes of those on "the other side".
Try to keep that in mind as you post here. The real *enemy* is the system that is trying to limit our choices, and working hard to compromise even the best politicians.
