Poll question: Kerry Reminds me of Lincoln. You?
It is the angularity of his face. His gawky height. The kindness and seriousness in his eyes. The determination.

Does anyone else get that from seeing him lately?

Ha.

That was funny.

19. It was a poster from the 1972 campaign
There's a picture of it in the paperback version of "Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72" by Hunter S. Thompson. That's the first place I saw it.

And all of your untrue & unproven smears against Kerry for the past year were all in good fun as well.

The phrase "your special swashtika skull" indicates that you are now trying to BS me.

Just because I think your posts are entertaining, in a William Cooper kind of way, does not mean I am fooled by them...

In fact, I that is where I first heard that joke.

Looks like this thread is a thinly veiled effort for superficial attacks on Kerry.

I really prefer the comic-book Hellfire Club/secret society stuff, much more entertaining...

21. Look - if the Bush Family Evil Empire Wishes Kerry Dead - He will be Dead
BUT (and it is a Big Butt)

The fact is that if Bush and Cheney and their Cronies TOUCH Kerry - there will be a Revolution in this country.

Even the CIA wants Bush OUT of the White House
That is an observation. not a threat. Just what my assessment is.

34. He started out as a whig
In 1834, he went to the Illinois legislature as a Whig and became the party's floor leader. For the next 20 years he practiced law in Springfield, except for a single term (1847–49) in Congress, where he denounced the Mexican War. In 1855, he was a candidate for senator and the next year he joined the new Republican Party.

He is his own man, and as President he wil have his own decisons to make .This is simply a shallow thread dicussing, the appearance of someone on the outside ,when we all know ,whats on the inside that really matters ! The repugs luv this kind of shallow way of chosing a President, because bush is as shallow as they come !

that reminds me of Lincoln.

Physical similarities aside, there IS something about his stature and carriage.

38. Yes, Kerry reminds me of Lincoln, though I think he is

much better looking than Lincoln was. Of course I don't mean to imply anything about either man's intelligence, character, or leadership in saying one is better looking. I think Kerry has the capacity to serve us well in the presidency -- it wil be great to have a president again, won't it?! Possibly, John Kerry will rise to become a great president like Lincoln. He will certainly have great problems to surmount, likely as great as those Lincoln had to overcome. We may in fact see another civil war in this country, if the right doesn't stop its hate-mongering. Most of us on the left aren't interested in making people hate each other. We just want to get the country back on the right track. It's the right wing that has always fomented anger and hate, even carrying out lynchings and other terroristic acts such as firebombing the Olympics Centennial Park in Atlanta, the Oklahoma Cuty bombing, and so on. The left has seldom engaged in violence or destruction apart from civil disobedience like pouring blood on draft board files, has been more inclined to marches, sit-ins, etc.

I think it is true that Kerry's looks are similar to Lincoln, I see a poised man, with kind eyes, and the eyes tell the story for me,Clinton was a kind man..that was what attracted people to him and likewise Kerry.
