Support Lloyd Doggett (TX-25) - Fight DeLay
Currently representing the old C.D. 10, Lloyd Doggett has been an outspoken opponent of Republican House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, whose redistricting efforts have resulted in Doggett's now running for the newly drawn C.D. 25 in South Texas. Doggett criticized Republicans as "this group that hates government, that doesn't understand the productive role that a government can play, a responsive government." Doggett has drawn the support of a multiethnic coalition that includes the endorsement of the United Farm Workers and reflects the 350 mile gerrymandered district. He has challenged drug companies that discriminate against seniors, HMOs that interfere with quality health care, corporate tax dodgers, big tobacco, and polluters. Congressman Patrick Kennedy of Rhode Island, campaigning for him in Texas, called Doggett, "one of the true liberals of our time." Doggett is a deficit hawk and serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means, Health Subcommittee, and Select Revenue Measures Subcommittee.

Please donate what you can to this liberal Democrat who speaks for all of us against Tom DeLay's Rethug establishment in Texas, as well as to Richard Morrison who is running against DeLay in CD-22.

Wes Clark Democrats have donated $7,574.74 to congressional races in the past few weeks and pledged an additional $3,451.00. Please, let's do as much as possible to support Democrats across the country. As you know, it is critically important.

At the same time, and while you also support John Kerry, if you are not maxed out on Wes Clark, please contribute to our campaign debt.

You don't have to be a Wes Clark Democrat to use our convenient site. Feel free to exploit us. :)

4. Wonder why there's no support for Martin Frost?!
That race is supposed to be competitive - House district 32 (I think) - all in Dallas. Against Pete Sessions.

8. Doggett has a safe seat now
His biggest danger was in the primary.

Martin Frost has a way more competitive seat to fight for.

11. I'm not telling people how to spend their money
but Chet Edwards or even Charlie Stenholm would be more effective donations than Tom Delay's opponent. Unless your rolling in cash, you've got to use you heads and not your emotions. Of course, you've got to be guided by your beliefs too.

18. Lloyd Doggett is THE MAN
And, let's be truthful, any opportunity to give Tom DeLay a (figurative) kick in the balls should not be missed!

Good luck Texas!
