Anntrax: "The Democratic candidate wants to represent godless Europeans."
New column by Man Coulter:

http://www.townhall.com/columnists/anncoulter/ac20040318.shtml

Which she ends like this:

"The Democratic candidate wants to represent godless Europeans. The Republican candidate wants to represent Americans."

Yesterday I started this thread:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=467309

in which I suggested that this is going to be the main attack-line against Kerry.

We need to wake up to this. The Spain bombing is yet another example of GOP's succesful use of terrorism in politics.

Kerry NEEDS TO CONGRATULATE the spanish as intensely as the GOP degrades them. He needs to ATTACK the GOP for their bullshit in the line of "the terrorists won in Spain". This is a very important early battle in which the GOP is seeking to define Kerry, and the Spain situation is one of the main elements in that battle.

Because if the "terrorists won in spain" after the Spanish ousted the Iraq-war-supporting incumbent, wouldn't the same apply for the US? But no, we patriotic Americans are brave, we will vote Bush and not cower.

They're also setting the stage for expoiting the eventuality of another terrorist attack. Or another M/LIHOP.

This is important and Kerry needs to address it quickly.

not anecdotes.

In France, which is predominantly Catholic but emphatically secular, about one in 20 people attends a religious service every week, compared with about one in three in the United States.

"What's interesting isn't that there are fewer people in church," said the Reverend Jean François Bordarier, a priest in Lille, in northern France, "but that there are any at all."According to the European Values Study, only about 21 percent of all Europeans said religion was "very important" to them. Although the methodology was not precisely comparable, a Gallup Poll this year showed that 58 percent of Americans defined religion that way.

google away! many more studies out there.

9. So now the whore wants to associate Kerry with Kim Jong Il
Edited on Thu Mar-18-04 07:34 PM by chair094
“Before he was put into office because he supported policies favored by al-Qaida terrorists, appeasement candidate Zapatero said: ‘I want Kerry to win.’ Kerry is also supported by North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il, who broadcasts Kerry speeches over Radio Pyongyang with favorable commentary.”

If Coulter wants to use this smear, I will be more than happy to reply in kind: Bush thinks more nukes=more security. Only one other world leader thinks this way.

Kim Jong Il.

BTW, could anyone tell me how to use bold/italics in DU?

Edit: added bold print.
