Day 3--Madeline Albright (Kerry Fund-meter)
http://www.johnkerry.com/

Is it time to start a pool on who the next 7 will be?

They're almost up to 3 million, should have 4 million by the end of the day. I'm greedy though. I'd like to see them raking in $2 mil/day.

1. That's a cool 'marker'
I gave yesterday, when I was so upset about the Baghdad bombing. I just kept thinking about how many families bush is destroying. It's so heartbreaking. Kerry NEVER would have created this disaster!

And WesClarkDems, don't forget to log your contributions at WesClarkDemocrats.com ! :)

2. Donated this morning
I have never pledged money to a campaign before.

I donated time as a college student for the first Clinton campaign. During the next two elections I admit my only contribution was to an occasional meetup or event and voting a straight Dem ticket.

When the primary first started I leaned toward Kerry.

I knew his overall record in terms of voting, his experience, his veteran status and his opposition to an unjust war afterwards. I thought I would have to vote for someone else mind in the end but I am one of those few people here it seems sometimes that always liked the liberal Senator from Mass. and I am proud to have him as my party's candidate.

I hope that everyone that can will contribute something to the victory of Kerry over the Bush co machine.

5. She's an amazing woman
Her parents escaped the Nazi's and went to London when she was very little. They went back after the war and her father was a diplomat in the government. They then escaped Communism and came to the U.S. She grew up in Colorado and went to college back east, I forget where. She went home to work on a newspaper and met a boy, who turned out to be a member of the Albright family. She continued going to college, even when she had children. They ended up in D.C. where she organized Girl Scout stuff. A parent remembered her skills and called her to organize a fundraiser for Muskie. He then hired her as a staffer. When Carter got into office, she decided to apply to Zbig's office and was hired. The PhD gave her the credibility she needed. And the rest, as they say, is history! Until the mid-nineties when she found out, like John Kerry, that her parents weren't Catholic at all, but Jews. And that much of her family had been killed in the Holocaust.

And she has said the comment about the war and children was the absolute stupidest thing that she has ever said in her life.
