Yay, I just got some great news about voter registration!
I was thinking that you had to register 6 months in advance in MS. I just got off the phone with the circuit clerk and you have to register 30 days prior to the election! That means I get five more months to register people to vote! I am so happy.

Everyone here should find out the logistics of their area and get to work, I want this to be a landslide baby!

1. I think it is 30 days everywhere.
HAVA does require IDs to register now, though, and that's new.

3. Excellent thread topic!!!!!!!
I agree that everyone should find out about their state's requirements and get people to register!

I have been part of the Registration Effort here in NE, and I have set up rides, made sure people know that there are applications in their phone books to mail to county officials and all kinds of other stuff.

CONGRATS to you melody be! Keep up the excellent work! :toast:

Let's see if we can get 1000 more like this!!!!!!

O8)

6. register voters in apartment complexes close to the election
do I need to explain the logic of this? Its pretty easy pickins, less legwork, more results.

8. I cant take credit :)
A friend of mine made this point. Aint it somethin that voter registration seems to be so low profile/priority in these parts?

9. The most it can be is 30 days prior to an election
per a Supreme Court decision.
