Great Rebuttal to Clintonites on a Cincinnati Political blog:

Why are Hillary Clinton supporters always saying Obama has no experience...lets look at the facts:

These bills can be found on the website of the Library of Congress
but to save you trouble, here they are:

1. Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site.
2. Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month.
3. Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
4. Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall.
5. Name courthouse after James L. Watson.
6. Name post office after Jonn A. O'Shea.
7. Designate Aug. 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
8. Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
9. Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the bicentennial of his death.
10. Congratulate the Syracuse Univ. Orange Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
11. Congratulate the Le Moyne College Dolphins Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
12. Establish the 225th Anniversary of the American Revolution Commemorative Program.
13. Name post office after Sergeant Riayan A. Tejeda.
14. Honor Shirley Chisholm for her service to the nation and express condolences on her death.
15. Honor John J. Downing, Brian Fahey, and Harry Ford, firefighters who lost their lives on duty. Only five of Clinton's bills are, more substantive.
16. Extend period of unemployment assistance to victims of 9/11.
17. Pay for city projects in response to 9/11
18. Assist landmine victims in other countries.
19. Assist family caregivers in accessing affordable respite care.
20. Designate part of the National Forest System in Puerto Rico as protected in the wilderness preservation system.

Those are the fact's straight from the Senate Record.

Now, I would post those of Obama's, but the list is too long, so I'll mainly categorize.

During the first - 8 - eight years of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced 233 regarding healthcare reform, 125 on poverty and public assistance, 112 crime fighting bills, 97 economic bills,
60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills, 21 ethics reform bills, 15 gun control,
6 veterans affairs and many others.

His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and
co-sponsored another 427. These inculded **the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency
Act of 2006 - became law, **The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, - became law, **The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate, **The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, - became law, **The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, In committee, and many more.

In all, since entering the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096.

An impressive record, for someone who supposedly has no record
according to some. A LITTLE RESEARCH GOES A LONG WAY PEOPLE! He's not just a talker. He's a doer. He has not divided the Democratic party, if anything he has been a revitalizing force. Hillary practices negative politics and represents the old. We need someone with the ability to unite across race, gender, ecomomic and party lines, and unite this country so that we can move forward and repair the damage of George W. This country has lost its luster and status in the world, and we need someone who will recapture the respect of the World community. We need Barack Obama!!!

2. Why is legislative experience all of a sudden relevant to becoming president?
Being a legislator is not the same as being an executive; it's a different skill set. It's stupid for people to get so involved in these comparisons on Senate records. If we play that game, McCain wins every time.

5. Um...issues don't matter? Working within a legislature doesn't matter?

7. It matters, but it shouldn't be seen as prequalification for president.
As I said above, if we go down that road and play that game, McCain beats either of our candidates every time.

4. what gets me about that doof Matthews ripped up the other night
who couldn't name any of Obama's legislative accomplishments, is that it's easy to come up with one. The Ethics Bill! He was the face of that! I mean honestly, how unprepared does a person have to be to not have onhand, practically the only thing Congress has done of any merit in the last few years. And his guy was the face of it, much to John McCain's chagrin. That's how the McCain-Obama flap started! I couldn't believe that guy.

I like both Hillary and Barack, but beating down Obama for lack of experience is tired. He hasn't been in office for 30 years yeah, but neither has she. And he has spent some quality time in the Senate, which the OP gives a solid rundown of.

9. It is so nice that chanda45227 wanted to save us the trouble to research that ourselves

She must have accidentally forgotten to list all of the bills and resolutions sponsored by Senator Clinton:

177 Bills & Resolutions for the 109th congress
138 Bills & Resolutions for the 108th congress
161 Bills & Resolutions for the 107th congress

http://clinton.senate.gov/senate/legislation/

Since that must have been a totally unintentional omission, I can believe that all of the accomplishments she lists for Senator Obama are totally correct.

on edit:

I totally forgot the bills and resolutions she has co-sponsored:

720 Bills & Resolutions for the 109th congress
688 Bills & Resolutions for the 108th congress
495 Bills & Resolutions for the 107th congress

12. Huh? But, but, ... I don't get it. Hillary told us she works the night shift!
So, shouldn't her legislative record be longer than Obama's, esp. since she claims to have 35 years experience? </snark>
