Time for straight talk!
Here's a letter I just submitted to my local/state newspaper.

-----------
I say hurray, for the people of Spain. Having been led into a misguided war in Iraq by their nations leaders they've taken the necessary step of voting out of office the people who lead them there.

In so doing they're not giving into anything except good judgement because they weren't a target for violence until they joined the so called Coalition of the Willing in a war against and subsequent occupation of a sovereign nation who had neither attacked nor threatened them.

Mr. Zapatero addresses the issue well enough for himself. In response to suggestions that he's giving in to terrorist threats, the new Spanish minister replied "I want to create an alliance against violence and all kinds of terrorism. I don't want to create my own war."

Amen, brother.
-----------

That's the kind of talk I want to hear!

Mr. Walter Cronkite is correct to call Mr. Kerry out reagarding his disavowel of a "liberal" voting record. He needs to fully embrace it because he won't win this race with bald tires. If he doesn't start clearly distinguishing himself from BushCo on a whole host of topics (trade, war, etc...), he's going to lose traction, hit the wall, and burst into flames. Guaranteed.

Dennis Kucinich for President!
