Most of the soldiers are from the south. They enlisted mainly to get help with college. Nobody thought some asshole would start a war.

According to Army Times, they've already turned against shrub. He won't be so anxious to count those overseas ballots this time. Sad thing is, and I hope I'm wrong, the worst is yet to come.

The people polled in this survey (almost all definitely voting Dem) and those who we need to worry about in the general (not sure whether to vote Bush or Dem) are MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE. We're not assuming the words you put into our mouth (that doing bad in the Southern primary polls is a good sign) but what the other poster implied, which is that Dean clearly will have no trouble in the South, is something that this poll gives you zero bits of information about. Saying that these polls disprove the theory that Dean will be a disaster in the South is utter crap.

and it's a really good representation of southern voters. If Dean can do so well there I think he's all set with southern Democrats. If you see polling like this coming out of Mississippi and Alabama too, then Dean will fare well everywhere.
