Drawing a decidedly smaller audience than a visit a month ago to San Antonio, Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader called on a Spring Break crowd of university students today to resist "growing up corporate" by becoming more involved in civic affairs.
"Citizen action has no ticket for admission," Nader said to about 75 people on the main campus of the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Nader, who stopped in San Antonio as part of a Texas swing of his presidential campaign, delivered an hourlong address that was more of a civics lesson than a political stump speech. He touched on many of the same themes he used in a talk last month at Our Lady of the Lake University, which drew about 900 people.
