Poll question: A small politics check as preface
Edited on Mon Mar-22-04 07:08 AM by Mairead
Please step back and think a bit before responding, and be scrupulously honest here.

'Kerry' here means the John Kerry of today, 2004, not the Kerry of 1974, 1984, or 1994.

1. Above-average.
The modern political environment doesn't produce too many extraordinary leaders nor does it provide an environment whereby a president can achieve greatness without much difficulty.

2. It's the same John Kerry, sir.
The same one that existed in '74, '84, and '94, you silly person. Do not so easily discount him.

3. You think that the John Kerry who voted against
the Gulf War in '91, is the same JK who voted for IWR? I don't.

4. Yes, I do.
There is a whole line of people who want to put Kerry in a labeled box.

5. Well it's clear he's going to betray us
So we shouldn't vote and just give up. I mean why bother trying to elect a democrat? He'll be just the same as President Bush. Give up give up give up.

This moment brought to you by Karl Rove who handed me a fin to say it.

But in reality I think that President Kerry will be about the same as most other presidents since 1954; not much better not much worse. But a lot better than President Bush.

Bryant
