(begin edit)Yes, I know the money belongs to his Wife. But, seems to me that when we throw stones we need to make sure we aren't living in a glass house.(end edit)

3. I hate when rich people stand up for the middle class.
I prefer them to try and make MORE money on the backs of the poor. And our soldiers.

6. Exactly!

how dare a rich man try to provide access to good , affordable healthcare and progressive taxes!

What do I think? I don't give a fuck if he has 1,000 houses, mansions, condos, etc., as long as he helps the rest of us get in on a share of the pie.

Unlike repubs who want it ALL.

PS-Want it all over our dead bodies, btw.

4. So what?
everyone knows his wife is rich. The Bush's are loaded to the gills. I'm sure most politicians these days have big bucks. Who else could afford all the campaigning?

8. If the title were to be accurate
it would refer to the homes as Heinz-Kerry's. Kerry's is just the one in Boston.

(Sounds like quite the life, anyway...)

10. Are We Better Off With Rich Kerry -YES!

Give me rich Teresa Kerry who has worked for worthy causes with the environment and the arts any day.

The Bush Batch are greedy and steal from the poor to give to the rich. Big difference to me.

14. What am I supposed to think?
I think it's a waste of time dragging something like that up at this point in the campaign. Personally, I don't care how many homes or millions Kerry has. You don't have to be Black to defend Civil Rights, just like you don't have to be poor/middle class to fight for them. I have no problem with John Kerry's wealth.

15. Don't get me wrong, just cause your a Democrat doesn't mean
than you should be livin in a Shelter. I'd marry his StepSon in a heartbeat.

That fine...

I am more or less commenting on attitudes that prevailed @ the beginning of Campaign 2004 where RICH = Rethuglican.

We as Liberals or Democrats are much more complicated than that. Not everyone with Money is EVIL or bad for our PARTY.

Take SOROS for instance.

Just remember that for later on people DON'T DISMISS A CANDIATE BECAUSE OF THEIR MONEY.

If you do you could be sinking your own YACHT.

17. I think that it is great.
Class warfare is a lousy, divisive tool, no matter which party uses it. If a guy can afford 5 houses, then more power to him.

Everyone, especially Kerry supporters, attacked Clark for being rich, you know, the Clark how was born extremely rich and who made millions in the army...really I mean, because Kerry was always known for being poor until this article came up, right?
And hell, I can't remember that anyone ever used the argument that Clark is a Republican because of his money.

What I think about this story? Couldn't care less.
About your arguments for posting that article? No offense but it's bullshit.

20. Why is this such an issue?
All politicians are rich. You think he is going to live in 200,000 dollar houses when his wife has 300mill?

19. FDR, The Kennedys, LBJ, Jimmy Carter, Gore- all wealthy Democrats...
Edited on Mon Mar-22-04 04:11 PM by Dr Fate
...who also did a lot to create the solid middle class we enjoy today. Every one of these wealthy DEMS had policies that helped poor folks...

Many wealthy Democrats have made great public servants- this is nothing new...
