and that he was asked to look harder for an Iraq connection and resubmit his report--which he did--and gave them the same answer--Iraq had no connection to 9/11. This is exactly what they did not want to hear.

The Kerry campaign called Fox and requested they interview Wes on this topic. Wes was on focus the whole time. The facts are what's important - is what Richard Clarke says the truth? It doesn't matter when or why the book comes out. Are these the facts? Wes believes they are, but they should be asking Clarke about his book's having been publishing. Wes wants and Richard Clarke wants the facts of the situation addressed for the American people. Cavuto tried to trip him up about Afghanistan, presenting it as a success for the Bushies, but Wes let him have it on that one, bringing up Tora Bora where A-Q was bottled up, the administration was distracted and went into Iraq instead. Wes defended Clarke's honor as a public servant, non-partisan.

No questions about Kerry, however.

I think the issue of the Clinton response throughout the 90s, as well as Bush I and Reagan in the '80s, does need to be presented cogently and very soon.
