But the more I see of Clarke on TV, the better!

Edited to add: Damnit I thought it would be Richard Clarke on Aaron Brown! Nevermind.

He was his great self as always and the shrill host I think it was something like Carvuto? Clark did not back down when he was trying to interupt him. All this bullshit about why is the book coming out now? Because the Chimp is running as a war time pres.

14. Woodruff is just as yucky.
Why can't it be Anderson Cooper--at least I get the feeling he is a Democrat, and not as full of sh*t as Aaron Brown and Judy Woodruff.

Oh well, even if it is Clark discussing Clarke on Brown's show, but by Woodruff, I'll take that!

Anything to watch Chimpy and his flying chimp gang squirm.

22. I heard Anderson Coopers' a Republican and is the son or
grandson of Gloria Vanderbuilt as has millions in a trust fund.
Just a bit of trivia while we are on the subject.

BTW I like Aaron Brown and I think he has been very fair to Clark in the past. I'm so damn mad that Judy will be interviewing Clark. She is such a B****! All she will do is promote the Rep. talking points.

32. I heard Anderson is a rather liberal out gay man
and he is the SON of Gloria Vanderbilt--just a little trivia there.

He has won a journalism award for a story he did on a high school athlete who came out during high school. Cooper might be a rich guy but I don't think that makes him a republican.

I've seen him give the hateful repukes, anti-abortionists and homophobes a hard time on CNN on his Anderson Cooper 360 show.

Just FYI.

I didn't know he was gay. I didn't know he was Vanderbilt's son either. I'll pay closer attention the next time he interviews a repuke....see if he challenges them. Every day I learn something new on DU. ;)

29. I have a lot of respect for Aaron Brown
and not just because he likes Wes. He is extremely dry but I have heard him throw some real zingers at the Bush Administration. Brown to me comes off as an honest thoughtful person doing his job with much more integrity than I see anywhere else in the supposedly objective media.

51. I agree Tom
I first started watching him regularly during the Iraq War coverage.
That's also when I became so impressed with Wes Clark.

I'm a news junkie, & check them all out, but I think Brown does the BEST daily news show. He is dry, & I like that. He goes into more depth on important issues, than anyone else.

And he tends not to have partisan hacks on the show; there's never a screaming match. Instead, there is real exploration of issues, & you're right, he seems to have real integrity.

Edited on Mon Mar-22-04 04:45 PM by Gloria
Actually, I will probably write off the campaign...

He's already doing the job the VP nominee is going to have to do..

As Kerry reportedly stipulated:
No one who is a Senator or legislator
No one without Foreign Policy experience....

Now, maybe a governor isn't included in the first...but other than trade trips to Bulgaria on state business, what gov. has FP experience???

repeat it every chance they get.

I too expected much worse from Woodruff. Don't quite know what to make of her conduct tonight. Maybe it's just that she's learned from bitter experience that Wes is the Smackdown Ninja, and she doesn't want to give him any reason to humiliate her again.

47. The little twit Judy said that all the counter charges made getting
to the bottom of 911 HARDER!! I nearly threw up! No, Judy...what has made it hard is that you and your cohorts have ignored the facts and defended Bush for the last 2 years. You've also ignored critics.

You have also insulted my intelligence.

I was glad she didn't try to insinuate that Wes was part of the "problem" by actually explaining how the Bushitas couldn't have it both ways on Clarke...

After missing him over the last few days, it was heaven to see him again.

54. Transcript up. best part:
http://edition.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0403/22/asb.00.html
WOODRUFF: When you say we should ignore the personal but today none other than the Vice President of the United States Dick Cheney came out and said Clarke wasn't in the loop and he may have had a grudge to bear because he didn't get some promotion that he wanted. Could that be behind it?

CLARK: Judy, you can't have it both ways. I mean he either was the counterterrorism czar and was responsible and knew what was going on or the administration gave him a title and didn't put any emphasis on terrorism and that's why he wasn't in the loop and the administration is criticizing him from both sides on this. I think that you have to accept each of the incidents and allegations at face value and then listen to the comments and take the facts and sort them through.
