Bush Lies / Bush League

Someone recently e-mailed me about how Republicans pick mantras and repeat them over and over until they stick and the media starts finding stories to fit the mantra, such as Kerry flip-flopping or "class warfare" every time someone talks about taxes on the rich.

My suggestion for a mantra is simple: Bush lies. There are so many lies that this is a simple one to back up, from WMDs in Iraq to calling the cutting down of forests the "Healthy Forest" initiative. So please try to use "Bush lies" as often as posible in your posts and conversation.

Second is the nickname. I'm not sure if I got this from somewhere else or made it up, but I am now using "Bush League" to describe Bush and his minions. For those of you who don't know, "bush leagues" is sometimes used to describe minor league or amateur baseball teams -- and the resulting slang "That is bush league" is used to talk about petty, underhanded, amateurish behavior.

So please also use Bush League to describe the enemy whenever possible.

It's great that the detailed lies are showing up everywhere on the Internet, from politicians down to regular people who are just so angry they'll do whatever it takes.
