I am VERY impressed with the intellectual capacity of the Clinton ...
...administration. They are hellafied smart people. I was much younger back then, and couldn't fully appreciate it. People can say want they want about Bill, but his administration was THE BOMB!

2. Ah, yes
I remember the feeling of relief of, after 12 years of Reagan/Bush, having a President who could put together a coherent English sentence.

6. Shut up RumBall

I can't take your pandering to the Spanish. Why would he have to read it, that shows how much he truly cares.

He is putting all the blame after his back.
Company line, bla bla bla

12. No kidding.
They are for the most part, incredibly bright policy wonks. Although it is unpopular these days to say it, policy REALLY is important.
They aren't ideologues.

For comparison, see what happens to country when ideologues are appointed by hapless, guilded dingbats, appointed by the Supreme Court, viz: Smirky's administration.

13. Actually so was Clinton. He is a brilliant man. Though he didn't always
use that brillance in the manner that he should have.

With one exception - they really dropped the ball on free trade.

17. Clinton has a brilliant intellect
and he was not afraid to surround himself with like minded people.
Bush surrounded himself with Daddy's buddies in order to cover up
his incompetence in everything.

18. Meritocracy vs Plutocracy - you just saw the results
That's why I adored Clinton. And Clark.
And that's why the brahmins (from both parties) hated them.

20. Clinton has a bit of genius in him...
He has his flaws, but there is no better political speaker alive -- one-on-one, in a town-hall format, in a debate, in an interview, to a crowd, the works. He was the first to come out from behind the podium and connect with people in a group, make eye contact, address them by name, and remember them all.

He can compartmentalize his mind to hold numerous questions on varying subjects at once, and give multi-part responses to each of them. You can see the process as he speaks. It's nothing short of remarkable.

He also has "it" -- when he enters a room or arena, it is clear that a leader has arrived.

No wonder the right wing is obsessed with him -- he terrifies them.
