If Kerry mucks things up badly between now and the convention

2. No. The candidate is chosen at the convention.

The Super Delegates can vote for whomever they wish, and even the regular delegates can change sides if there is a compelling reason.

What sort of "mucking up" are you anticipating?

too funny. kerry works for over a y ear campaigning without a vacation and then goes on vacation months before the election for about a week all the while bush is getting attacked by others, yet people complain. some people would rather just hear someone go after bush just so they could hear it regardless of it being effective.
