Can Wes Clark get the job Shelton use to have ?

Can Wes Clark get the job Shelton use to have ?
shelton was chairman of the joint chiefs of staff under clinton. does anyone know if clark can get that job in a kerry administration ? does he have to be active in military again for it ? i would like to see what shelton says if clark got that job.

2. Great minds think alike--I was just wondering that very thing myself.
And here's the kicker: according to a Lt. Colonel (ret.) in our local Clark group, officers are never truly "retired," they're simply either active or inactive and can be called up again at any time. He himself was called up again to train troops for Desert Storm--and just got the call to report again on April 1st, this time as a full Bird Colonel.

So, as to Clark being Chairman of the Joint Chiefs--it might well be unprecedented, but it could be done. Kerry as CinC could put Clark anywhere he wanted him.

BTW, anyone beside me have trouble watching Cohen's testimony? I really detest that man...

that's a civilian job.
