Should those of us who wanted Kucinich or Edwards....
pull out of our Progressive E-Mails? I'm having a hard time supporting Move On.org. or Buzzflash since they seem to be "force feeding me" a candidate.

I will vote for the Dem Nominee in November...but I feel I've been "cut out of the loop" of the very sites I supported since 2000 Selection.

I took myself off Ted Kennedy and John Kerry's e-mail alerts...but still am on all the other Progressive ones.

They don't speak to ME, anymore, though because I can't really feel good about either Hillary or Obama.

Ralph Nader has become a sad joke...trashing his early years of all the good work he did for Consumer Advocacy...so ...he makes me barf..

What do I do? I'm sick of having either Hillary or Obama IN MY FACE ..24/7...when there is so little difference between them. Have watched ALL THE DEBATES...and gone to their websites. There's very little difference.

Where's a "Populist Dem" to go these days. And, should I be angry that I feel the "NEW LIBERAL INTERNET" kind of let me down...sort of "rolled over me ...leaving the tire tracks" when so many worked for them all these years.

For those of us who've been "around the bend a few times" the choice was so CENTRIST/RIGHT...we just don't understand how after an Election Decided by the US Supreme Court and 7 + Years of BUSH ADMINISTRATION Criminal Activity, with Trashing of our Constitution and VIOLATIONS AGAINST PERSON AND PROPERTY....I should be faced with two candidates that don't seem to want to do ANYTHING about it?

Instead these two candidates do what politicians ALWAYS DO...promising "Chicken in Every Pot"...Some kind of "Health Care" and "Education for All"..that will be cheaper that what Repugs Promise.

WHAT HAPPENED TO REAL ISSUES? What about these WARS SUCKING THE LIFE OUT OF AMERICA? What about these TRADE AGREEMENTS that RAPED OUR JOB MARKET?

 I think that I've been "HAD"....I feel "USED"....I think they "PLAY WITH MY MIND" and take my "MONEY" then leave me in the street with a knife in my back.

Melodramatic? Yeah...but at least I WILL SAY IT... Because IT NEEDS TO BE SAID...

1. No (an Edwardian here)
Because either Hill or Obama would be a zillion times better than John "worst senator for children" McCain.

3. Support the ticket
And work to push them to the left. More important in the long run we need to get active at the grassroots level. We need to produce a farm team of progressive leaders to take over the old guard. We can do this starting at the local, county, and state legislative levels .

5. Go Local? Try to make a difference "where we are planted?"
Try to work for any LOCAL CHANGE we can do? I've given up on Federal Government to work for us. Grover Norquist didn't "drown the Fed Govt. in the Bath tub" ...he made it totally HUGE for the Military/Industrial/Media Complex...and he laughs as he supports John McCain!

They take our tax money...and they use it for WAR and Mercenary Troops and Jails and Torture Prisons and for Wall St. and their ENRON TYPE BUDDIES who rape and pillage Taxpayers and then scream about "Government Bailouts" when THEY are the FIRST IN LINE for GOVERNMENT HANDOUTS...!

What kind of system is this when Corporate CEO's make THREE TO FOUR TIMES MORE than their upper management to say nothing for the "worker drones" who get Walmart for shopping, no job security and the crumbs off the table for their "high productivity" as their jobs are shipped overseas, downsized or eliminated.

What kind of AMERICA of our CHILDHOOD DREAMS...is THIS CESSPOOL of CORPORATE CRONYISM/ORGANIZED CRIME and GOVERNMENT ASSISTED CRIME that's REPELLANT!

WHO ARE WE? NOBODY...just CLONES attached to "I-POD's, FLAT SCREENS and the DRONE of AMERICA ON THE DOWNSIZE...

Where do we go but LOCAL...and DEMAND CHANGE FROM OUR City Council's and Governors....GO LOCAL...The FEDS DON'T LISTEN! VOTE THEM OUT....ELECT REP'S THAT Represent US!

That's all I can think of.......

I didn't at first, but got tired of the barrage of Clinton / Obama mails. I feel nothing for these candidates. They are not exciting at all.

In the fall I will once again be voting against the Repuke.

Thank you for saying what needs to be said.

6. Do whatever you feel like.. I hate that McKinney left the dem party for the green party.
But she is running for President under the Green party...This Dem party are complete asshats running the DLC against a progressive, ball buster.. she's tough as nails.. Too bad she didn't get the Dem Pres nod.. She's black and a woman.. all requirements fullfilled in her.. and she'd run real investigations in Washington.. Love when she chewed Rummy up and spit him out.

7. Some Dems...the "Powers that Be" threw her out...she was "too controversial."
Many on this site were very happy with that...because they felt she was a grandstander. I never saw her that way...and those who watched her travail's closely through it all, knew that wasn't true of her...but it was what the "PTB" decided needed to be done to her.

There is another one who lived in a ditch in Texas for a couple of years who was the FIRST to get TRACTION on the Travesty of Bush II's WAR IN IRAQ! Many DU'ers went there and supported that person...and were glad to know that SHE finally did a break through to get Bush II's Poll Ratings down and Questions finally asked about Iraq Invasion after most of America was still sporting "Flags and Yellow Ribbons ...with SUPPORT OUR TROOPS...on the backs of their SUV's/HUMVEE'S and whatever other car they could plaster those symbols with along with "BUSH/CHENEY '04" on the back window.

That person is now "out of the Dem Party" and is not to be spoken about.

One can't "reach to far for truth" or you will be RUN OVER BY THE BIG BUS...the tire tracks ...if they don't kill you on the first overide will get you on the second or third. :-(

8. I dumped most of them
I still get emails from Boxer and a few others. The one that I really want to go away is email from Mike Ciresi. I never signed up for emails and tried unsubscribing but the a-hole keeps sending me his crap.

9. well, it's not the best thing from a progressive point of view
but maybe you can focus on other races (e.g., bigger majority in Senate) or just the issue of not wanting McCain to nominate Supreme Court justices. That's what will get my butt in gear to vote this fall.
