8. Was the camera on him?
Take issue with the joke teller. Not the people who laughed, I am sure if we took a roll call of those who laughed at that sick joke we might find a few people that we like my have laughed as well. There are tons of things to criticize Lieberman about, this is not one of them.

15. So? I don't care whether I like them or not. It still doesn't
make it right. Nancy Pelosi said she laughed to be "polite." Poor excuse.

9. Nancy Pelosi was also there and she laughed
at Bush's WMD gaffe, she said, "to be polite."

This was a tidbit reported by Bryan Lamb on C-Span yesterday morning.

10. I am telling you. . .
. . . if we conduct a head count of who laughed we might be a little disappointed.

11. not if we understand what Insider Washington is all about
Minority Leader Pelosi, Lieberman, etc., could not be offended by WMD jokes, since they apparently have no family or children getting their legs and arms blown off by these lies, turned into jokes.

. . .I do or at least I think I do, but I wonder how many really do.

14. the only reason I do is that I was born and grew up there
it is a one-industry town, and for those of us who know it behind the scenes, it's pretty sleazy, and few of the players seem capable of rising above it.

It is pretty remarkable to me how naive most Americans are about their government and the frauds that are there supposed to be representing them.

16. With all respect, I find that comment a little offensive.
I don't have family or children getting legs and arms blown off by *'s lies, but I was outraged by his stupid crass "joke", and I would have walked out at that point in the evening. That's assuming, if invited, I would have even gone, which is highly unlikely. And btw, Nancy Pelosi voted against the IWR, and organized a House Democratic effort to defeat it. She was undermined by Gephardt. :hi:

Edited on Sat Mar-27-04 09:30 AM by downstairsparts
I'm glad that you are offended by my comment. I did not say that for a laugh. The whole horrible thing is offensive to me.

18. I didn't know she laughed. I guess I missed that part.
That is offensive on her part. I don't know why she'd do such a thing. I didn't mean to criticize you. I just want the record straight about people's records. Nancy did stand up to * on IWR and many other bills, but she shouldn't have laughed at that hideous "joke".

13. I get the feeling Liberman has to be liked.
I think he is a good man but has this thing about being liked so he is sort of wispy in how he thinks.
