Who would be a good conservative version of Nader?
Some conservative is missing out on a big chance to score major media attention. Anyone with a semi-big name could hit Bush for 3-4 percentage points and rocket onto the front page.

Come on. What has Bush done about government spending or abortion in four years? Surely there is some Republican with name recognition who is willing to follow his conscience and run against Bush, Kerry, and Nader. Think of the publicity!!

2. Ron Paul
but he probably won't run since he returned to the Repug fold after a stint as a libertian. Speaking of which who are the hot candidates for the libertarian nominee?

7. Ron Paul didn't do well in 1988
I doubt he would do much better now.

Apparently, Gary Nolan, a former radio talk show host is the frontrunner for the Libertarian nomination.

any right wing talk show host

there are a lot of folks that could do what Nader does to the Dems - but I'm afraid they all really want Bush to win -

as apparently does Nader.

6. Do you remember Alan Keyes....
Edited on Sat Mar-27-04 11:18 AM by formernaderite
....he's truly a hardcore conservative and seemingly principled in his beliefs. Although he didn't do well in the primaries, he seems to have a philisophical base of support.

You want a real adversary for Bush? Someone get Jesse Ventura to run as the reform party candidate....that would totally wipe out Bush's support amongst the working class guys who tend to support him.

9. You just reminded me of something
I've been wondering, of late. Where in the world is Ross Perot?
He seems to have fallen off, or, perhaps, been pushed off, the radar screen.
