Why I think Cheney is staying on the ticket |
There has been some rumblings about Cheney being dropped by Bush. Why I think this is an unlikely scenario:
In 2000, Bush assigned Cheney to find him a VP, Cheney chose HIMSELF. Anyone with that kind of self-inflated image and thirst for power most certainly won't happily drop from the ticket to aid the Prez. He's in it for himself.

2. Aren't ALL politicians in it for themselves? |
Do we really hold any illusions that people run for President, Senator, or Congressman for the good of the people?

8. The reason Cheney's still on the ticket |
Is because Bush wants a candidate who won't turn around and try to run for president in 2008, since he wants Jeb to run then.

11. I've never believed Bush has the power to replace Cheney |
Can a puppet replace the puppeteer? It's not possible IMO.

12. Does Cheney need to be VP to work his evil? IMO, I don't think so... |
If * lags in the polls going into the summer, look for a change on the bottom of the GOP ticket. (My guess -- Rudy Guiliani.)
Cheney can do his puppeteering from an undisclosed location anytime, all the time. He doesn't seem to require the office of VP to do it.

15. Cheney is Bush's Life Insurance Policy |
Plainly, simply and nothing more. If somebody hated Bush enough to harm him, you know they'd hate Cheney more. Insurance.
