Dennis Kucinich in Denver, April 10!
Come meet the man, himself! :)

Dennis Kucinich will be here in Denver on Saturday, April 10, from noon to 2pm at Turnhalle in the Tivoli Center on the Auraria campus.

Since he will be here for a longer time, he will be available for questions and answers. We will have available information about caucus, etc.

I have a small map for reaching the Tivoli Center, and Turnhalle is easy to find, but I still don't know how to post pictures here.

He will also be in Ft. Collins on April 8 and Boulder on April 9, and I will send you that information as soon as possible.

Thank you for spreading this information... we really appreciate it!

PM me if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you there!

And, please.. this is for "Kucinich supporters and well-wishers", in the words of Skinner, et al. Please do not use this thread for atacking.

1. I wish he would go to Pueblo.
Workers and retired workers from Colorado Fuel & Iron, which used to make rails and nails and all sorts of steel, would give him a good welcome...especially since the retirement pay was underfunded and now they live on minimum Social Security.

Labor(union and non-union) NEEDS DENNIS. NO ONE ELSE IS STICKING UP FOR LABOR, and that includes the heir apparent.

GO, DK,will Focus on the Family be there to protest? That would be hysterical!!

2. We wish he could spend a month here in Colorado!
There are so many groups who want to hear him!

I've been contacting labor, and labor will definitely be represented at the Turnhalle event. I'm also working with a union which has been striking, and if we can arrange it, Dennis will meet with (and possibly picket with) them!

The union janitors at Auraria are getting a raw deal, and will be there at the event.

You're so right, that all of labor is getting screwed badly. Dennis could spend a month here in Colorado, with labor alone.

I just drove by "Focus On The Family" (gag) the other day, and had nearly the same thought you had. :) Dennis is scheduled to be in Colorado Springs, too, so..... :hi:

3. Where in Ft. Collins?
Too few posts to send you a private message, so I suppose I'll ask here. I'd love to go see him, but hadn't heard anything about him coming to town.

4. Hi MrChupon!
Welcome to DU!

:hi: :hi: :hi:

:toast:

I don't yet have the schedule for Ft. Collins. I'll post it as soon as I have it.

When you are able to, post me a PM, and I'll give you more info.

It's great that Dennis is able to travel to Colorado, and I'm glad you'll be able to see him!

:) :) :)

12. Contact for Larimer County
I don't yet have the schedule for Ft. Collins, but here is the contact for Larimer County:

Catherine Workman: & lw331 AT msn.com

Of course, remove the "&" in front, and replace the AT with the @ symbol.

This is one of those times where the no PM for beginners rule presents a few problems. It's just not a good idea to publicly publish an email addy.

I hope this helps. Haven't heard back from you, so I hope that you are still watching "this space", and will be able to contact her.

It will be exciting to be able to see Dennis!

6. Kanary...this is SO great!!!
wish I could *bop* up to CO and see him again...

If you have any "really ought to be there" places...let me know...I can send an email to the campaign...not that it means anything coming from me but you never know...sometimes a properly placed suggestion is helpful :) ....I know Dennis wants to go where people want & need to hear the message...

wahoo!!!
:bounce:

9. We'd LOVE to have you here, DR!
In fact, just today, a woman made sure I knew her house is open for anyone coming from a distance to help, or to see Dennis, and needs a place to stay. Sooooo, in the words of the famous MC... "Come on doowwwn." Oh yeah, that would be "up" in your case. ~~gigglesnort~~

You bet I'd like your input... please email me...... haven't heard from you in so long I figured you weren't speaking to me anymore. :)

'sides, I'd like to have someone to confide in... as you know, the last days of a campaign are... neverwracking... sigh..

Kanary, still hangin' in there for Dennis!

8. Hurrah, crunchy!
I posted this partly because I have managed to lose your email, and wanted you to see this!

I'm really looking forward to finally meeting you!

The one at Auraria is going to be the "big" one, as far as I know. So, it will be great for you to be there!

Don't forget, there will be venues in Boulder, also. In fact, I may also go to a few of those. :)

Sooo glad to hear you're connected with a meetup!

Please email me again, and I'll send the stuff I have on caucus.

10. Hey, my email button is right up there
with all my other buttons. You should be able to use that.

I'm going out for awhile, but if I haven't gotten an email from you yet, I will go ahead and send you one.:)

13. Woohoo Kanary!!!!
That sounds like a GREAT event! When Dennis was here in Feb, he did a Q&A session after his "regular" speech. It was IMHO the best part of the program!

He had several "tough" questioners right at the beginning, and handled them all deftly, and even defended one "pro-lifer" who was getting heckled by some of the audience for her question. It's amazing that he's not only an excellent candidate and congressman, but a very good diplomat as well.

Have a good time April 10!!!

14. That's a great story!
Y'know, I'm wishin' Dennis could give us all a workshop on good diplomatic skills! :) Part of his Department of Peace, actually. :hi:

I pushed for a longer and larger session with Dennis, so that we could *have* a question and answer time, rather than a bunch of small gatherings where he gives his stump speech and is on to the next event. I'm really looking forward to watching him in action, fielding the questions. He has a real talent in this area!

Thanks for sharing your story!
