Bush breaking fundraising rules?
From one of my other lists. You can sort donors by zip code. Maybe some more of us can come up with information like that supplied by this fellow. Can we nail Bush for this?

Thanks for that link...I just found at least a dozen folks who don't know that they gave money to the Bush campaign...all from the same company...they are going to look into if their boss made contributions using their names...this is what happened in 2000 with Bush's "Pioneers" and it looks as though he's up to the same crap...

2. kick, always wondered about these bundled contributions.
Don't you have to sign something indicating you have contributed though?

3. Supposedly, but signatures can be faked
Hope some Dems with the necessary expertise will look into this.

9. You have to make binding affirmations
Same thing legally as a signature, with the same penalties for forgery.

5. Democrats should put a lot of effort into finding this out
If Bush is breaking the law, it will help a lot to undermine his credibility.

The Democrats need to be very aggressive in taking Bush down in the media at every opportunity!

7. Don't you know any better?
Republicans are above and beyond the reach of the law. Injustice Scalia said so :eyes: </sarcasm>

8. I sure hope those people get in touch w/the FEC...
if contributions were made under their names, especially w/o their knowledge, this is in violation of numerous rules and regulations. In fact the GOP had a cow over Unions donating to candidates without members knowledge, that's what changed the rules. bush himself may not be at fault, sorry had to say that, because he doesn't know who actually contributes, but those that used names of people to contribute w/o their knowledge are subject to criminal prosecution.

10. Kick and a note:
Again, if you're one of the dozens of DUers who got an 8x10 glossy of * in the mail, please, please check to see if someone donated in your name.

12. Would DNC take action here?
Don't know who the right contact would be. McAuliffe gets way too much email, I'm sure.
