Anyone else having NO difficulty voting for Kerry?
What's at stake if Bush wins again?

Trillions in national debt...

A woman's right to choose...

More war...

Gutted social programs...

Lax environmental regulations...

A Scalia Supreme Court..

..etc... ..etc...

Will I ever see a politician who I agree with 100%? No, because such a man or woman would never be elected.

When I go into that booth, I will be aware that my vote will help to remove the administration who would draft them, and send them to fight, kill, and die in a war, and feel no remorse. I do not believe that bush or cheney care a bit about the kids they send into the hell of war. So I'm glad to vote for Kerry.

Vote absentee ballot.

If we can't fix the BBV machines before November, the Democrats should organize an absentee ballot drive in all the counties (in key states at least) affected by these machines.

We already know the pukes are evil enough to cheat with these machines.

But that dance is over.

Its Kerry v bush - how anybody who values the fate of our nation, the fate of our neighbors, the fate of ourselves, can not vote for Kerry is - just - words fail.

four more years of bush might put us past the point of no return. how could anybody put anything above the survival of the nation?

Kerry made some votes I disagree with, and his stance on Iraq really bugs me. But stack that next to a bush dictatorship and four years to run wild. If I'm breathing, I'm voting for Kerry.

register and vote in November... does anyone know the residency
requirements in the various "too close to call" states?

I *think* CA is safe for Kerry.

65. Moving to vote
I'm dead serious. Thanks for the link. Looks like the
3 states I think are the closest (now someone correct me here)
are Florida (again), Ohio, and Penn. Of the three, it looks like
I can take a trip to Florida, rent something for a month or so,
register 29 days before election and vote.

I'm pretty sure about the answer, but there is no district by
district roll up or something. The popular vote in the state
decides the electoral college vote, right? Not different from
state to state? And it's winner take all in every state?

I'm a currently unemployed software jock in Silicon valley, made
enough on the last startup to cruise for a few more months, but
then who knows. All I know is that most of the companies I could
go to work for are currently hiring lots of people, just not here
in the US.

What I'm doing is legal... I would encourage all others (remember
that if ONLY 800 of us moved to Florida last time...) to do the
same if possible. 800 would make no difference to the vote in CA.

I really hate these bastards.

68. That's terrific and I completely sympathize
Before you do anything, I would call ahead to the Florida Department of State to make sure that you can legally do what you're doing in the given time frame - otherwise it would be very disappointing to have moved all the way out to Florida and not be able to vote. You don't have to tell them why you're doing it, just make sure that you'll be able to declare residency immediately and then afterwards be able to register to vote up to 30 days before the election. You may be asked to provide a utility bill as proof of residence - again check what the requirements are well in advance.

No, it doesn't matter where in the state you live, but what you really should do is volunteer for the Kerry Campaign while you're there. Your vote is only one vote, but if you can bring even ten Democrats to the polls, your effort will be worth a lot more. The campaign might be able to tell you where in Florida you'd be most needed.

I really hate these bastards.

Amen to that!

73. Not much any longer. I've transitioned into a person who feels they can
*support* John Kerry rather than simply vote out of fear of Bush.

75. I can think of a lot of people I would rather see as president than Kerry;
I divided the list into three categories:

1. Fictional characters -scratch,

2. Dead presidents, philosophers, etc. - scratch

3. a few actual live persons not on the ballot - scratch

JOHN KERRY 2004!
.

76. I can't wait to mark my ballot for Kerry
Regarding the other thread, Good God I'm tired of the defeatism exhibited by some of the people around here!

I know I should be more inclusive, but for the people who never have anything good to say about Kerry or the Democratic Party - maybe you would be more comfortable at a Green or Nader forum.

77. None!
For those that are having trouble I suggest they go and find the video of the people jumping from the wreckage of World Trade Center.

This ad has some footage for those folks to look at: http://www.takebackthemedia.com/true911.html

If they are still having trouble after that... I suggest they go register with that other party!

79. It will be a pleasure!
I've been waiting to vote for a Dem since 2000. So, voting for Kerry will be an honor and a relief -- no matter who the veep nominee is!

83. Yeah, Come On!!!!!
and after all the *$&(^) that's happened in the past 3+ years, I just don't understand why we are having this conversation.

Heck, my Republican mother is thinking about voting for Kerry, that's how bad the situation is!!!! (Dad and I are the hard-core Dems in the family)

19 year overall liberal voting record.

Former Vietnam vet.

Wartime vet dissenter.

Good on environmental issues, women's issues and well hell look it up on Project Vote Smart. He is good on almost every issue -- a real liberal voting record.

89. Yes, I'm having trouble. I'll probably vote for a third party candidate.
Someone who voted for the IWR - then dissembled about his reasons for the next 18 months - won't get my vote.

Hi everyone! :loveya::hi:
