Kerry-Edwards or Kerry-Clark?
I'm partial to Kerry-Clark, personally. Of course, I'm surprised that these two wouldn't be bored w/ a lameass job like VP.

but I would vote for a Kerry/My ugly cat Gilbey.

I would really like to see Clark demolish Cheney in the VP debate.

6. I think a President Kerry
would have an activist VP.

I think Clark could travel all over, repairing our relations with allies, & especially helpful towards NATO, where is is well known & regarded.

Clarke could travel to Iraq, & bring back direct military assessments, on the actual situation.

What about Afghanistan? We have many troops there, & the people aiding us, are under a NATO umbrella. Again, Wes's old friends. And the job of finishing off Al Queda is still not finished.

I could go on & on, but those are 3 BIG reasons Clark could be a huge help.

8. I like Kerry-Clark
While I like Edwards, one negative is his trial lawyer work and what the Bush people would do with that.

IMHO both Edwards and Clark add southern voters to Kerry.

12. I'm for Kerry - Clark
2 reasons:

1, Clark is a real outsider.

2, Chicken hawks vs. war heroes, a big seller right now.

Of course they could run a yellow dog for VP now and I'd still vote for Kerry

(1) Edwards for VP, Clark for Secretary of State. (2) Clark for VP, Edwards for Attorney General. I'm thinking that we are very lucky as a party to have this many strong people. Think of the republicans.

16. Kerry-Clark
Sharp as a tack, articulate, stellar career, has already been a Commander-In-Chief, knows what it's like to be a teacher, has seen to it that healthcare & education were provided for families in his care, and has the goods on the BFEE.

The right is already trying to paint Kerry as soft on defense, even though he acted heroically in Vietnam while Bush was cowering stateside. Clark reinforces the national security issue for us and makes people feel safe.

19. Oh, Please!!!!
Boy, that's a bold new vision, a brave new direction for America ...
... two rich white guys running for president and vice president.

THE TIME HAS COME ... a competent, serious WOMAN on the ticket will be a tremendous plus for Democrats, and will move suburban voters to Kerry.

US Sen. Landrieu is the best pick, in my opinion.

But two guys again? Oh, please.

20. KERRY/EDWARDS 2004
This is the ticket that will beat Bush. Remember we need a winning team. That means strong campaigners. This is something Clark lacks. Edwards will bring energy and excitement. Something others cannot bring to Kerry's ticket.

24. Kerry-Clark if you want a Victory in 2004.
other-wise risk another 4 years of *. The GOP is running on the "Bush-Cheney, Strong on Terrorism, Economy is improving, give us time" Platform.

They intend to paint Kerry as an Anti-Defense Systems Flip-Flopper based on his record in the Senate. Can't handle the heat if the country is attacked again.

Only Clark pulls the rug out from under their strongest position to run against the Democrats.

Take it to the bank.....

We risk losing, even if it's by a small margin, but we RISK LOSING without Clark on the ticket.

I like John Edwards, don't get me wrong, and I think he has just as good of an opportunity to hold the White House for the Dems a full 16 years. But, we risk losing without Clark right now.

Lose it this time and we're done...Bush survives without any major FU*K UPS another four years, and Jeb will move in right behind him. Bank on it, the Next Bush Administration will be extremly moderate compared to this one. They intend to pack the Courts and Kill the Democratic Party, they can only complete the job by ensuring Jeb follows his brother.

29. Kerry/Clark is my dream choice but...
I doubt Kerry will pick Clark for one simple reason: compared to other seasoned politicians, Clark is a novice campaigner. Don't get me wrong, I adore Clark, I supported him in the primaries. He's a great charismatic leader, a visionary and a genuinely good man but he simply hasn't master the art of public campaigning. He sometimes comes across as too rigid. At other times, he goes off on tangents and gives overly complicated and convoluted answers to a seemingly simple question. I liked Clark best during his impromptu Q&A sessions in which he demonstrated the great depth and breath of his knowledge, intelligence and sensitivity. He seemed more relaxed and willing to open up.

In any case, I don't think Clark himself would enjoy the VP position very much since it is mostly legislative and ceremonial. Of course, Kerry could always bend the rules a and give him more meaningful responsibilities.

Don't look now, but you just gave a very apt description of one John Forbes Kerry. I think Clark makes sense because he has essential similarity to Kerry. I think there's a possibility that Edwards, with his reputation as a comer, might actually overshadow Kerry, especially in a debate (the problem with Dukakis/Bentsen). Kerry/Clark has resonance on the same wavelength, as it were.

But then, to be fair, if we switch to an oppositional rather than a relational dialectic, Edwards brings a youthful, energetic quality that Clark, God love 'im, doesn't quite (though the General is quite energe-dammit, now I just sound patronizing. Shouldn't post while drunk). It's a complicated question. Then again, having to choose between Clark and Edwards is a nice problem to have...

36. I'd Work To Get Either Ticket Elected
but, of course, I'd prefer Clark. We need a crystal ball to tell us what the situation is gonna be in late summer and fall. Is Iraq going to keep getting worse and terrorism expanding? Then we definitely need Clark. Is the economy continuing to decline and jobs are still falling? Then maybe Edwards' feeling our pain will be just the ticket. Who knows? Whatever it takes to just get our foot back in the door at the WH.

43. Kerry- Clark

What a team!

I have met Clark and Edwards. They are both charismatic, intelligent, easy on the eyes etc.

Of the two, my heart and my brain say Kerry/Clark for '04.
Don't like the idea of two senators together. Need more varied experiences. The Repukes will eat their two voting records alive.

Clark is so much broader in an international sense.

In addition, Clark knows this bunch of crooks in the White House from a different perspective. He has worked closely with the Pentagon as well as several administrations and he understands the terrorist threat from the side of the military. He has "been there, done that" in terms of War and in terms of Peace. And, I know that he understands how to bring people together.

Clark... a man for all seasons.
