John Kerry California speech on C-SPAN

it's on now . but i don't think most will catch it because of the time. but i saw the speech before on tv and kerry was really good. he was better than at the democratic unity dinner. probably because the unity dinner spend a lot of time thanking everyone over and over again. there is nothing wrong with that and he should have done it at the unity dinner. but this speech was more on the issues and kerry seemed very relaxed and comfortable there. he mentioned his time in california during his military days a few times. talked a lot about energy as that's what the speech was focused on. there were some republican idiots in the audience being asses but kerry said not to boo them since they are there and will learn something.

1. san diego's young republicans

kerry did his discussion at university of california, san diego - and the funny part is, the kids who booed him i probaly met at a san diego group of young republicans. i was curious how their meetings went so i attended and tried to hold back my laughter - i overheard that some went to ucsd, and since the democrat to republican ratio among students is something like 99/1 around here it wouldnt surprise me if it was them.. heheh.

no but seriously, the group 'leader' was this girl who had a chart breaking down kerry's 900 billion dollar tax increase. when i asked her where the data came from (since it looked completely made up) - she told me annenberg fact checker (factcheck.org) - ironically they debunked the whole 900 bil tax claim i believe
