How can 41% of Americans believe
THAT BUSH IS NOT HIDING SOMETHING FROM THE 9-11 COMMISSION? Rhetorical question. Actually thats a number that karl probably is concerned about. I'm sure he is looking forward to Bob Woodward's soon to be released book to shed more light on bush and his operation.

1. by the wording of the question
What's the actual wording? Because most people do not want to believe that Bu$h sent people to die for zero cause...denial is a strange thing. It would mean lives were lost for a mad mans cause.

2. Massive ignorance, in the literal sense
In certain regions of the country, people will give their total devotion to anyone who claims to be a "man of God". Junior understands this and exploits it as much as possible. And of course, with a fully complicit corporate media, these people never hear the truth that Junior's actions are completely the opposite of "Christian".

3. Another RW Spin: They are hiding to protect us
Our local RW talk show (Kirby) said that the administration is hiding info to protect us! 1984 is just 2 decades late.

4. Very true
I want a bumper sticker that says: 1984. Read it. Don't live it.

5. Fear
To admit to oneself that our government could be complicit at any level is terrifying.

7. Taking a positive man and turning it into a negative
The majority understand the truth. Despite the media slant to the Republicans.

The majority voted for Al Gore.

The country is split right down the middle.

Instead of trying to reach out to working people radicals in our midst dismiss the people of America as sheeple and stupid etc...etc...

Too negative man ... at least most people are beginning to understand despite the corporate media.
