At this point in time, if she gets the nomination, I will NOT vote for her under any circumstances. ...I started working for Democrats in 1960 when I was 12 years old. I was inspired by a biography I read about FDR and I wanted to have another president like FDR in Washington. FDR was bigger than life to me. That was the year I also got my first Scottish Terrier because I wanted a dog just like Fala. My parents were staunch Republicans and I was at age 12 catching a city bus to go downtown (small town in Ohio) to work after school in the Kennedy campaign. My gal pals were sitting around and giggling about boys while I was involved in politics.

I have NEVER voted for a Republican and I have NEVER missed an election ~~ even if it was only for dog catcher. My undergrad degree is political science ~~ big surprise, right?

If Hillary Clinton is the nominee, come this November, I will NOT be voting for the Democratic presidential candidate. I will NOT vote for her under ANY circumstances.

If I feel this way with my background....imagine the negatives out there against her. She will give us President McCain and that IMO is probably worst than Monkey Boy. I cannot imagine a more horrendous disaster than my beloved Democratic Party nominating Repubbie Lite Hillary so that we can make sure McCain wins.

Honestly, I've never felt very good about Obama or his chances or some of the other crap going on, but I will be fighting, defending him, and shouting from the rooftops for him if he gets the nomination because the alternative of McCain would finish off our economy, keep our soldiers dying in a war (or wars), more jobs lost, no hope of anything better as far as the health care crisis, our social security completely done away with, etc. etc. etc. Sometimes we are voting against someone rather than for the other one, the lesser of the two evils, and actually I think considering they are all just politicians, we end up doing that quite often. So, please look at it as a vote against McCain if you have to. The alternative is just too awful.

Edwards is the first presidential candidate I have given money to in many years. I was crushed when he suspended his campaign. I don't know why I didn't like Hillary in the beginning, it was just a gut negative reaction. I've tried to come to grips with that irrational dislike and was almost there, but then she decided to throw in 'the kitchen sink'. She knows that she has the advantage because she is a woman and many will see her as a victim if she is attacked politically. Believe me society hasn't changed as much as some would think. There are still those who hold the door for women and their chair (witness Obama at the debate) Until this deferential behaviour is obsolete completely, women will be seen as weaker and different. It's a subtlety, but it is there.

If Hillary wins the nomination, I will vote for her, but I will be muttering the entire way.

I'm convinced that the one candidate that could unite the opposition and ignite them is Hillary. She is so incredibly polarizing. I have yet to see one compelling argument that would make it seem like she could overcome that.

I think Obama is weak, and I threw up a little at the idea of him putting republicans on his cabinet, but Hillary must not be the nominee.

But for Christ's sake, Edwards is SO much better than either of these guys....
