Our law says the secretary of State( the ones who officiate election) are not allowed to use its staff for a private election by mail because that would mean having to share voter signatures(private info) with whoever is running the do over. that is the hurdle faced in Florida. No one wants to pay for a primary or caucus. The re-pubs have the whole legislature (majority) and a Republican Gov. This is just a republican tactic to split the Dem party and its working. Co-sponsoring the "Vote by Mail Act of 2007" and questioning the legitimacy or fairness of a re-vote by mail in FL and/or MI are very different.

If the bill passed, it would be legal and there would be checks in place to ensure all votes were legitimate and counted (and voters were educated how it worked, what to do, etc.).

Being against the vote by mail 're-vote' is different, I'm fairly certain that FL (or any state for that matter) would not be able to get their shit together enough to have a re-vote by mail that would be legitimate.
