Meet the Press
Hillary supporter (SPIN SPIN SPIN). She has avoided answering questions many times (regarding whether or not the Clintons should release information..regarding new kind of politics..etc) while Bradley is doing a great job for Obama.

3. She wouldn't touch Wright or Ferraro.
Said it's time to move on. That is a good sign. The story has no legs.

7. I wonder what's going through Nita Lowey's mind right now..
She was the one who was going to run for Pat Moynihan's seat until the N.Y. Democratic bigwigs, led by Charles Rangel, pushed her aside to give Hillary an easy path to the Democratic nomination. Apparently, she wasn't a "big enough name" to run against Giuliani.

21. IIRC, she wasn't "pushed aside", she decided not to run.

Back then, she was in Congress for 12 years, with an excellent reputation for constituency service, and respected among both D's and R's - still is.

She my Congressional representative and I wasn't happy about her running for Senate - I felt she'd do better for us as a prominent committee/sub-committee chairman somewhere along the line.

She's now been in Congress for 20 years, and chairs subcommittees such as this one for the Appropriations committee:

BTW, Lowey also loaned strategist Howard Wolfson to HRC; Wolfson had once been on her staff.

If anything, HRC owes Nita Lowey a huge ton of favors - not the other way around.

8. she said that she didn't want to give the rw fodder to dis the candidate
when defending not disclosing Bill's library donors, and their tax returns, and a few statements later, "with all due respect" (fake smile) why didn't Obama denounce his pastor a year ago?

11. I like Nita and I think she was trying to be good, but it was pretty weak.
I think she cares more about the party than either one of them, and I respect that. I don't think she helped Hil all that much. If that's the best HRC can do, she's sunk.

That dishwater defense won't hold up against Obama's own easy screen persona.

13. I thought it was a poor showing for Clinton
Edited on Sun Mar-16-08 10:08 AM by high density
Having a surrogate out there say "we really wanna talk about the issues" when yesterday they were having conference calls on Rezko leaves me less and less impressed with her campaign.

Also this bullshit that the Clinton supporters are out there saying where the super delegates are an "independent voice" evidently in a vacuum (Leon Panetta repeated this on Face the Nation) is the silliest argument I've ever heard for overturning the will of the voters. These super delegates are mostly elected officials themselves that will eventually be up for reelection themselves.

22. OMG! Lowey is wearing a flag pendant and Bradley is NOT!!!
Get Newsmax on this now! THIS IS HUGH111!

I like how Tim showed Hillary's opposing opinions on the Florida vote.

Bradley talking about the missing Clinton taxes is a great point, in my view. Full disclosure is something that is a lot more important than someone's former pastor. Lowey's answer on the taxes was very Clintonian and not answering the question. "At the right time, the records will be released".

Lowey pulled out the "we need to be positive" antic to completely avoid the unreleased taxes issue.

Bradley is spot on.

25. Pumpkinhead leads in that the panel will talk about Campaign/Iraq/Economy
10:33-10:45 Pastorgate/Ferrarogate, general bashing of Dems

10:45-10:51 Iraq/McCain w/ brief fellatio of McCain (no money shot)

10:51-10:51 Economy (we'll say 1 min.)

So, in Pumkinhead's 'brain' (or whatever passes thereof) the most important issues are:

63% - Pastorgate/Ferrarogate, general bashing of Dems

16% - Iraq

16% - Servicing McCain

5% - Looming economic collapse

Yea, sounds about right.
